people have the right to post what they want (within reason) no matter what there post count is, if you dont like it then leave (most other forums wont be that different either...)

Im happy people come here to recruit.. If people get a lot of members that way it is very good for the site.. because that way more people will come to the site..
You say that they come with 1 post then never contribute again.. Well if we remove the recruitment stuff at all then the people with that 1 post will disappear >_< thats not an improvement.. that only means less people on the site.. i think that if they used this site once for recruitment and they have received nice comments here, they will come here again if they ever need help...
I think you should have thought about it a lil longer.. People coming here to recruit for their guilds is a good thing.. I dont mind seeing them in the top 5 either, I always find it fun to read, I like hearing about other guilds. The fact that you mind can really only mean that you never look further then the top 5 posts.. That is your problem. Let me give you a tip.. click on the GW forums link.. You will see that GW.gameamp has a lot more to offer then the top 5 posts.. Im srry but the fact that you dont like topics that dont concern you in the top 5 and you want them out really means you are to lazy to scroll through the forums.. I can tell you you miss a lot that way :)

i agree, maybe the admins should make a recruiting section and not make it pop up on the top 5 topics? because almost every time i come to this site, i see a recruiting topic. and this whole no flaming policy is getting out of hand imo, getting along with everybody and everything is a little retarded i think.

Nobody said your not allowed to express your opinion, but nothing is stopping us from it either, even if it is criticisms of your own, and I really dont see how calling us moo cows will do anything.

I think the policy is good.. If people cant get along then they cant get along.. there is no problem in that.. yet if they start callin eachother names etc.. then its flaming.

I have no problem with recruiting posts being in the top five, and there have been a lot of them, but the bottom line (at least as far as I can tell) is that they just don't work all that well. You will get like two members tops from a post from what I've read. Personally, I have no idea how to recruit without being a well known guild or spamming in a town somewhere.

Poor guy. come her to recuit and his topic turns into a free speech debate. First WELCOME, second I would recommend reposting your recruitment topic. When you do include some more info like:
What chapters you play Prop, Factions, NF
If you are in an alliance which one
Are you on the american, European, etc... servers
What times youplan to be online frequently
That will help people get an idea wether you are right for them.
Now..Since I have posted let me voice my opinion. There is no reason to limit the people who are allowed to post in the recruitment section. I for one found my guild through this section and really enjoy playing with them. If I rememeber correctly they were fairly new to the forums when they posted, but if they hadn't I wouldn't be there now.
Also you need to think that just because it is their first post, that doesn't mean they are new here. I watched these forum for about 5 months before I actually posted. I wanted to become more familiar with the environment here so that I would easity fit in, also I wanted to have some knowledge so that I could be helpful.
So on that note I believe that we shouldnt' change anything and allow all guild to recruit here so that we have a diverse selection for our members to look at if they are in need of a guild.
Well anyway enough abot that. Good luck recruiting and I apologize that your thread got hijacked. Don't let this turn you away fromt e site as the community here is normally very helpful and friendly (as you can see by the majority of the posts here.)

Firstly Egyptgirls welcome to the site!. I'm sorry your post has recieved the kind of attention that it really shouldn't have, it may well be a good idea to redo it now, johny bravo posted some good suggestions to help you better recruit.
I am going to lock this topic it has gone way off-topic, before I do I am going to answer and respond to a few previous posts.

Having a no-flaming policy doesn't mean you can't disagree or debate anything game related on-site, what it does mean is that if you revert to name-calling and general rudeness or immaturity then you will get banned. None of us would want a forum full of people who agree with each other all the time, how boring would that be and how quickly would it die? Nope that's not what we want but what we do want is that when you do disagree your reasonable about it, simple really :) Nothing there that stops any freedom of speach.
Posting something like :
As a responce to a recruitment topic is completely pointless and IMO rude, if you don't have anything to add, don't add, comments like that don't endear you to the community or the admins and spark a whole bunch of posts that take the thread completely off-topic, unfair to the OP.

Freedom of speach doesn't come free, with it comes responsibility and consequences, if someone disagrees then they simply exercise their freedom of speach in responce, alot of people didnt like your post and expressed it, thats what happens.

Please see above and please remember there is a big difference between responsible posting and self-censorship.
As for recruitment by guilds from people who have made only 1 post- doesn't matter how many posts they have made, they can use the site whatever way they wish within our simple rules of behaviour. The more choice you have in finding guilds the better surely?
If you want to discuss the no flaming policy there is a thread here, please read as alot of your concerns are probably already answered.
