| Sjeng's Collector Finder + Maps |
|
|
|
Did you ever want to get a certain weapon or offhand item, but didn't have the cash to buy one? Do you have a new character that needs to be equipped with bags, runes of holding, a belt pouch and decent weapons, but you want it FAST? Do you need to equip your heroes, but don't have all those weapons? Do you need better armour, but can't afford it yet? Do you need a cheap ID-kit or Salvage-kit? You want to powerlevel your guildies, heroes or friends, and need scrolls for it?
Well, search no further! Here is the answer to all these problems:
Sjeng's Collector Finder (clicky)
This is a handy tool with which you can easily:
- choose a weapon / offhand item / XP scroll / powerup / kits
- choose the attribute you need (if you need a weapon)
- pick the type of mod you'd like your weapon or offhand to have
- see what collectible drops you need to collect for it
- view a map of the area where the collector can be found for the item you need
Then all you need to do is go to that area, farm some monsters, collect enough drops, and go see the collector for the item you need.
The maps show information about all the items a collector has in a small popup-box, along with an image of the collectible drop they trade for.

Notes:
- All these links can also be found on my guild's website.
- If you want to use these maps on your own site, please do NOT link directly to my maps, as my server will be overloaded. You may copy these maps and the source code, as long as you do NOT edit the maps in any way, and give me proper credit on your site as well.
- If you have collectible drops, and you'd like to know what you can get for them, just choose the map of the area you farmed those drops in, and see what the collectors have by hovering your mouse over their locations.
Collectors ALWAYS collect drops that can ONLY be found in their area. For example: Heket Tongues are drops from Heket, who can be found in Kourna and Vabbi only, hence there will only be Heket Tongue collectors in these areas.
- I didn't bother describing the non-max damage/stats weapons in Tyria. Hence, these cannot be found with the collector finder. The maps from Ascalon to Maguuma only show the names of the items that can be gotten.
- Armour is also included in the collector finder, they are mentioned on the maps in blue boxes.
*In Tyria there's max armour from collectors in the Crystal Desert and the Southern Shiverpeaks.
*In Cantha there are 3 non-max armour sets in Shing Jea Island, and 1 max armour set in Kaineng.
*In Elona there are only 2 non-max armour sets found on Istan, and no max armour set on the mainland.

Very nice, saw it earlier but now that I need to use it, I would like to point out. Its not Fire Attunement, its Fire Magic. Same for Earth, Air and Water.
And Healing, Smiting, and Protection all should have Prayers at the end(Healing Prayers, etc). But thats only if your going to bother to list the whole attribute name out.
Awesome interface BTW, I might use this over wiki to find collector items. :P

I'm not bothering about the prayers thing, but I did correct the attunement to magic ;) thanks for pointing it out!

I'm allready a Adventuring Collector! Pretty suiting title ^^
Made small updates to the Shing Jea and Kaineng map. Added the Scrolls/bags/kits purple bars and popups to the maps.
Great to hear my project is appreciated ^^ thanks!
PS: can one of the mods of GameAmp update the maps I posted in the Collector Section of this site? They're outdated since I've posted this topic...

13 jan. 2007:
- Added Sorrow's Furnace map, with enslavement stone collector.
- Fixed rolldown menu's for Firefox users. Thanks to Imkey.
- Added all Lotus Staves to the Echovald Forest map. Lotus Staves were added to the game as part of the August 17th Update.

I'm calling on the GW community to help me gather dungeon maps.
I need fully explored zoomed in minimap screenshots of ALL dungeons first levels that contain collectors. Here's an example, thanks to Megisti:
So far I only have a clear explored image of Rragar's Menagerie. (PS: the added text excluded of course)
I have EVERYTHING aboveground ready, so all I need to finish the collector finder are the dungeons. I can't copy them from Wiki, so I need screenshots.

A small note to the mods: When I checked the Collector Map pages I noticed:
-Asuran maps 1 and 4, Norn map 2 are missing on the collector maps pages.
-Also Bahdok Caverns is spelled wrong. (it says Bahdik now).
I did send the missing maps in the first time, but I might have mistakenly sent them is as "City maps" instead of "Collector maps" in the rolldown box when uploading them. Could you check if they are in the right place?
