Based on when factions was released and what Gaile has said in the past it seems reasonable to predict that GW chapter 4 is coming up in the next 3-5 months.
As far as info on it we don't have much at all. Only that Gaile hinted that Chapter 4 would try and tie up all loose ends. I think this may be because GW might not be able to support a 5th chapter due to it's populatuon being spread too thin. Finishing with a story ender would tie everything up neatly.
Professions: We've got five of each type now
Melee:
Warrior
Ranger
Paragon
(and half casters)
Dervish
Assassin
Spellcasters:
Elementalist
Mesmer
Necromancer
Monk
Ritualist
so it seems o.k to predict we're gonna to get another pure melee and another pure spellcaster. AS to what these could be, I'm out of sensible ideas. It will be easier to guess at the types of professions when the setting becomes known.
Setting:
Once again all rumor. Arenanet have made no mention of what's going to be turning up in the next GW landscape. Although based on tieing things up it could be predicted that the sunken city of Orr will be involved somewhere as this is the last remaining hotspot of clues left. Throughout NF we learn more about the Viziers exact reasonings behind destroying the city and it seems likely that Orr will be raised from the ocean floor or you will gain some method of breathing under the sea. Some people have suggested that the game will move north for a more icy setting to the land that the Watchtowers on the watchtower coast look out over. This could possible involve heading north to the homelands of the Charr and the Mursatt who live deep in the northan maguuma jungle. Personnaly I hope that A-net go for a more mixed terrain map (like proph) because all the sand in Elona is making me bored and want to see some swamp/grass/ice.
Plot: Tieing things up, hmmm. It seems quite likely that Gwen w.ill make a reappearence, possibly as someone important to the plot. Ascalon might also be cleared of the Charr. Orr may rise from the sea again due to some spell and the gods would rebind magic. This would leave the game at a complete ending with everything restored to how it was in the peaceful era. Unfortunatly this would cut off most good paths to a GW5 so it is unlikly everything is going to be fixed up nicely.
So, although I've not really got any new info to share, I hope you like my speculation.
What do you think/hope will happen plot wise?
What new profs do you think (realisticly) are going to be introduced?
What kind of landscape do you hope to see?

P.s. on a kinda ending note here's what I'd like to see.
The plot to involve attempting to raise Orr from the sea. Then seeking out answers to how it was destroyed in the first place and why the Orrians were converted to undead. Your heroes then have to defend the spell used in the cataclism from evils clutches whilst transporting it to the edge of the world where it can be destoryed, in the northlands. You head beyond Giants basin to a land filled with snow and yeti like creatures. there are also Charr living to the north east, above Ascalon. The Charr are manipulated once more into trying to stop good from preveiling so you embark on a side quest to stop the charr at their root and kill their leaders. Doing this greatly damages the Charr assualt on Ascalon giving it a chance to rebuild. You then head towards the north and the edge of the world successfully removing the Catyclism spell and thus saving the world. The big bad Guy would be Menzies as he's the only really evil god left. The only problem with this is there would be a lot of prophacies map cross-over and therefore it is unlikely to be done. Oh well

I could have sworn anet(including gaile) said NF was gonna tie up loose ends, and as far as i've seen, it pretty much tied up everything but Gwen.

No more continents I say. We have enough as it is. Maybe a LITTLE space up north would be ok but not too much. maybe like half of ascalon. I think they should add quests and missions to tyria make new areas to play in and don't let certian people without this new edition get in(for example you send them to the last town). That way they can take what they already have and add too it which in my oppinion would be better.

One thing i would like to see resolved is the thing with the bloodstones. The gods split magic into four different sections and locked it's power in the stones, that magic was later released when the volcano they were in erupted. We know there's a bloodstone in the maguuma jungle, and one in the shiverpeaks.
Will the bloodstones ever be found, and magic once again one whole?
Will it mean the salvation of our heroes, or the destruction of the entire world? Who knows?
Also, sasquatch needs to be put into the game somehow. I don't really care in what way.

If this is the final chapter,a few months i think Anet should work on PVP alot more, dont get me wrong GW PvP is great but there aint all that much 2 do and basically the same thing plus that way it will still keep ppl interested in the game
i heard sumfin about antarctica being a setting a doubt it now tho seeing as Orr would be much better =p

its NOT in antarctica, that is a rumour that gaile had spread herself :D, anyway i think it will be set in orr.. and having a story revolving around gwen somehow.. somethign to do with the searing and how she ened up dead + lost in UW

I personally am not excited about Chapter 4. I think it's going to come too soon, and I won't have accomplished everything I hoped to when Nightfall came out. I would really like to play every character and get 100% skill unlock, and get into PvP a bit before we get a new campaign. I really think a year would be a better time between campaigns, or maybe 8 months instead of 6.

Unfortunately for me, I do not share Bryndens lack of enthusiasm, I've capped everything I wanted, I had an earlier start than most I suppose. For me, with the additions of Heroes (Particularily Olias, Tahlkora, and Dunkoro) and even Mhenlo and Kihm and Odurra, I had little problem plowing through Nightfall. I'd already started a good chunk of my elite capping after beating the game in a week. Thank god they openned DoA, at least the gem missions are giving me some stuff to consume my time with ^^
A fourth chapter would be nice, plus even if its out, those who do not feel it is necessary need not buy it y'know?
This time around though, some skill originality would be nice, I mean for once, I'd like their skills to live up to their hype. I mean, honestly, I know there were a lot of people dissapointed with some of the Avatars, and to be honest, some were pretty disappointing. There was also a large disappointment with "Can't Touch This!", which, truly is a useless skill that does more harm than good on a skill bar in terms of anti-touch.
Other than that, I hope ALL their bosses are raised to level 28 and made more difficult. I kind of see it as a problem with difficulty once you have to move a boss from its original spawn location to a brand new one, that only increases length of the run, not difficulty. (I'm talking about Jerneh Nightbringer).

There are actually quite a few loose ends.
The Charr- They're still encroaching in on Ascalon from the North.
The Bloodstones- Three of them have been found in Tyria, which leaves two unaccounted for, as well as the Keystone which binds them all.
The Mursaat- The people living in the deeper jungles that were protecting the Door of Komalie, as well as the people that the Krytans worship as "The Unseen Ones".
The Land of Orr- this land was supposedly destroyed in an explosion when the Vizier attempted to use powerful magics in the city of Arah during the Charr invasion. It could be the location of the next chapter, but I find that unlikely.
Gwen- If they end the Guild Wars storyline without finishing this, I just may set my computer on fire.

Since the charr actually worship the titans and, in fact, cooperate with them (last day dawns), i doubt that the titans "pwned" them, as you so poetically put it.

I dunno...Considering that they weren't much help for the Titans, (Titan Source) the Titans may have felt a little punishment was in order. :-p

I second that. Due to my gf I/we have 2 accounts with 17 chars on them now (cause I want to play every class, after all I paid for them all^^) and we're both in university most of the day, so I can't spend most of my time playing. I have all 3 campaigns on both accounts so far, but I just can't keep up. Ok, I have chars that are through Prophecies and Factions but if I imagine how long it'll take to get all 17 that far...and then through Nightfall and a new campaign coming in a few months already...it just gets too much.
I know, nobody forces me to buy a new campaign when it comes out so I could finish the old ones first with all chars...but still, I'm not that excited about a new campaign every 6 months...I bet I'd still play the game for at least 2 years if they stopped after the 4th campaign^^
I know this won't apply to all players that want to finish a new campaign as fast as possible, but hey, there are other types of players too :)

As some of you know, I am already slow about buying NF because of a lack of green paper things that people exchange for it. I am worried that when I get it then that is when ch. 4 will come out leaving me yet behind again, and still poor, its a lose lose siutation for me

hehe i already have enuf for the 4th campaign, so im trying to hold on to it.
as for classes i wouldnt mind seeing a another class like assassin for melee except wit different skills better for PvE. im talking like lifestealing up close kinda like a necro. as for spell caster i think Anet will find something. they always do.

if u look on the gw box and through thee booklet, it shows a charr fighting on a snowy area, which i had never found, and also a bone dragon in ascalon
about mursaat from magguma, that i have never heard

What I'd like to see eventually, or in the next chapter:
- An enemy that isn't a demon an/or spirit. A good old fashioned warlord or simple baddie that is uber powerful because they pwn, not because they're a frikkin demon or god-demon. BTW, Abbadon was way too easy to be considerd a god >.> Gimme some insurrection, political sabotage, royalty assassinated/driven out and stripped of their power. I'm finding it difficult to conceive characters fighting anything less powerful than a god and not winning.
- Orr, or something like an Atlantis, I like water.
- A class that summons things that can move AND do not require corpses. Something like a summoner. Being able to summon one or two strong creatures and buff them with "creature enchantment" skills, kind of like a beastmaster.
For example, like a Necromancer in D2, summon a cool golem to fight with you, and be able to stand back, give them passive/aggressive commands like a hero and buff them like a weapon buff ritualist.
MM's are overrated IMO, I prefere SS, but heroes MM better ^^ With this class, MM's won't be such a staple class, kind of how Ritualists can be a good second healer for most groups.
- A binding class. Something that specialises in slowing and health/energy degen along with party protection. Like a ward of sorts.
- A ball and chain weapon, imagine your character swinging this massive spiked ball on a chain with Vital Weapon on it (For those who don't now, when Vital Wapon is active, it changes the skin of your weapon to something with skulls on it ^^). Mid ranged weapon (IE: Half the range of a short bow) that can knock down, deep wound, and cripple specifically. Perhaps a 25-40 max damage range?
- Tie up the loose ends with the Mursaat and the Seers race and find out where Saul D'Allesio went/saw.

I hope one of the next profession will be a Bare-Knuckle Fighter. The Dervish was originally planned as such a Fighter.
The other profession will be a spellcaster but i dont care too much about sitting back and casting spells.

yup she did , teh portals and and tombs brecking up was the end = ) she also mentinoned that the nxt chapter would be completely cut f from teh rest but im sure on that = /
