So...how's the experience?

Well, to those who DID get into Dungeon Runner, what do you think about it? Think it needs improvement in some areas and where? Or do you think it's the best FREAKEN GAME EVA!?

I like to be the one to talk my thoughts, but I have yet to get access to it. Not that I didn't use my referal, it's there, but my downloader hasn't even thought about getting the game for me so I have to think of other ways.

Talk away, their forum could be better if I could scroll from left and right, but NOOOOOOOoooo....

Wow! A thread that isn't a request for a referral!! I've been struck speechless...

Sorry, that's been buggin me for a while, had to get it off my chest. :)
So anyway, I've not played for months and with all the other gaming goodness going on, don't think I'll be back to DR for a while. From what I've read, they've almost completely revamped the game since I played last (plus, trying to get all the updates on my dialup would really suck).

So lets hear it, all you other players out there, how is it? Does it rock your socks, or does it stand up like a wet noodle?

Yeah, you're absolutely right. You might also find it amusing to count the actual posts that have been made since the referrals were taken down. Hint: with this one included it's four.

And that's exactly why I only handed out one referral. Everyone was gimme gimme gimme, and once they got what they wanted - gone, without a trace.

I'm still here, but like Phedre_D, I don't have many good things to say about the game, so I haven't felt the need to post.

I personally enjoy the game. I like it's casual feel.

I have gaming A.D.D., so I get distracted and run to other games. I think this game has a great mentality behind it with a lot of potential.

I can really only complain about one thing, currently. I don't like the delay if you use the keyboard movement. Click to move is smooth and handy(especially when one hand is holding a 4 month old baby, lol).

Skills are fun, but not necessary. Classes are unrestricted. You can be a fighter and use mage skills. You can be a mage, but use a ranger's crossbow. There's an endless array of possibilities. The benefit of using your class stuff is increased damage bonuses. Overall, it's a cool and fun concept.

The graphics are WoW-esque, and the gameplay itself is reminiscent of Diablo. Both are cool and it's a great combination(if you're into dungeon crawling and hack'n'slash).

That's my 2 cents at the moment.

Well, I didn't even get in and I'm still (casually) posting now and then. Also, +cred for mango for some very useful information. You just can't get the feeling of a game from screenshots alone, and this has fueled my excitement even further then it's previous level.

Glad it helped. I'm a fan of the game. It has downsides, but so does every other game. No single game is perfect, and not every game is for everyone.

Very casual game, In my opinion. I'm a casual player...it suits me. However, Johnny Hardcore may HATE the game because it's so casual.

The gameplay itself I like, but I'm still stuck on two major points:

1) $5 per month per character for membership. The game is worth $5 per month total, but anything after that is just a money grab.

2) No trading system. With the replies that have come from the devs on the subject, it seems there will never be a secure trading system added to the game. They are too worried about "real money traders".

With "Mythos" - another casual action RPG that is free - from Flagship Seattle ready to release later this year, maybe it won't matter in the end.

My first impression is that it's ok but not great. The keyboard movement is slow and lack of better camera control makes the whole thing awkward. I'm still going to try it every now and then. It will likely get better.

Thanks for the comment, viralsod! After two months finally somebody that didn't just come for a referal alone. I can only imagine how fun and lively the in-game chat channels are.

just been playing this for about an hour or 2 and its not a bad game reminds me a bit of dungeon siege :P

Anyways seems gd prob be playing more or it 2moz, bit tired atm :D

The game isnt too bad. Its been about 2 months since I have actually played. If you just want to play a game where you can solo...then this is the game. You can blast thru the instances and get tons of gear, money, and anything else lootable.

The camera views were awful, couldnt ever get comfortable. Also some of the dungeons were quite the task to navigate. Sometimes you had to find Quest NPC's and if you didnt remember you would wonder around. The quest descriptions needed better info to help you find where the NPC's were located.

Overall on a grade scale, this game would get a B- from me.

Wait a second, I thought when I played this is was just a cheap remake of Dungeon Siege 2, which lightly better graphics....................................
