What do you think about A net balancing the game?
does it make it better or worst?
Im a bit confused why people find cool stuff and tell everybody possible.
For example earlier i read a year ago there was 2 chests in dreadnoughts which were free and you could get loads of cool stuff repeatedly.
Not talking about builds as you cant avoid a build leaking, dominating and being nerfed.
I just think it would be cool if there were loads of secrets nobody knew about so everybody could discover for themselves :).
Another question, why you think A net puts stuff in GW if they dont want people to find it and use it?
Also, anybody think theyll nerf touch ranger? i guess its not possible without inbalancing agaisnt ranger or necro.

Because A-Net monitors things on their own servers, they don't have to read posts on fan sites to know what the community is doing. Because > half of the people who "exploit" "fun" things don't find out from the fansites, they find out from other players in game, or happen across it by chance. Because if they don't "nerf" things, the game will grow more and more imbalanced.
balances make the game much better, if nothing had ever been balanced, GvG would be farm able, and the guilds who abuse imbalances would rocket above the truly skilled guilds. Balances are important in PvE too - without balancing monster AI's and skills, bots would be more rampant than they already are and we'd be having to farm for years to be able to afford one ecto. (small exaggeration)
The chests in dreadnoughts drift were removed for economical reasons - a few people were farming them repeatedly and becoming insanely rich, while the rest of the community who were unable to farm them because of some lack were having to pay more for everything.
The touch ranger.... won't get nerfed. It's not a high DPS build anyway, just a good 1v1 build.

i have to agree...people share this info because they arent as selfish as you thornblade.

Hmm, i see now these exploits are only fun and exiting if you have more money then everybody else.
It wouldn't be as enjoyable to get really expensive things if you dont have to put effort into doing it :).

lol , i don't really see it as selfish, because :
If you share it, everybodys going to have lots of whatever youve got and nobody will want to buy it , for example if i told everybody a way to solo uw in 10 minutes, everybody would do it, ecto would be worth about 200g , nobody benefits.
Maybe they do it for the fame of discovering something, which will be lost after a few weeks when i spreads everywhere .

i havent told anyone about my good dervish builds except for a guildie who helped me test it. i personally like to not tell ppl my builds because since they are pretty good i want other dervishes to find it out themselves.

UW solo smite run can be done in 12 minutes by an E/Me. It's near its fastest ever and ectos are going up in price. It's all a supply/demand thing.

If nothing had ever gotten nerfed, personally I think the game would suck. Things like the original AI update opened up vast numbers of new builds that would have never been viable otherwise; for example, before that update 95% of the elementalists in PvE were Fire mages.
Personally, I don't think most people DO share their highly original builds on the net. They tell their guildmates and friends only, and those people tell their friends, and then those people post things on the internet. This isn't true when it's something that isn't completely original. For example, all indications are that the 55 build was thought up by several dozen people independently and all at roughly the same time (give or take a month or 2).
Those people who do share new builds do so out of pride; they say, "Hey, I made up this rediculously powerful build that can do _________! I want people to see me and know that I am genius!" and post the build.
