Ok I am a stalker am just wondering the general opinion putting aside the facts i am a Villian and kinda expected t odo this.. but here we go.
I was in Recluce's Victory the other night and there were two tank heroes and me now am a stalker lvl 43 they were 50 tanks.. so i didnt want to face them one on one so i followed them around and everytime they took out the defences of a Pillbox i simplw took ti over while they were not looking the Wuestion is.... Is that wrong?

It's not something I would do. Just go get a heavy and run in an area there not is what I would have done. If they come after you it's not like your gonna get any debt. And on the down side you get no xp for taking out the turrets behind them.
Now if they weren't turning the zone well as I have seen so many times, then to bad so sad for them. I play Cov & CoH and it is the dumbest thing but I see the hero's doing this all the time. Then they won't let you turn the zone ( nor turn the zone themselves) so the turrets can pop back up.
But that's just my opinion.
Now if there just just holding the zone I fly around and quickly turn the zone before they can even catch me. Sense I'm a Corruptor I have to watch my but after that for they are now on the hunt for whom ever turned the zone. LOL!!!

well here is my two cents worth... I feel like this I pay my $14 bucks per month just like everyone else yet some ppl seem to think that there should be certain rules to PVP. Well, lets face it was is PVP? Player vs Player, I thinks it is simple I do what I have to in order to win. If people don't like my methods I am sorry but its all about tactics. So as long as your not cheating then bravo go for it sounds to me like you have a good plan of attack.
Don't worry about what them self righteous hero's think ;-) be a villain and do what you have to do to win. Sirens Call is the worst about this. I mean I am constantly hearing "Oh I am just here to duel!" well guess what guys and gals! Thats why there is an arena, use it to duel and such. Leave the PVP zones for ppl that aren't afraid to fight large groups, or to do what has to be done to win and ya have fun at the same time.
The last thing you will ever hear me gripe about is getting ganked by a group of 5 heroes... lets face it if I was silly enough to let a large group get that close to me then well I got what I deserved lol.
lastly, if your a stalker and you want to chase the heroes around and steal there pillboxes then by all means go for it and I will be standing there laughing my butt off the whole time as those heroes sit there and moan and groan about how you did it. There should be more villains that think the way you do. I mean lets face it the biggest key to success in PVP is knowing your strengths and weaknesses if your a corrupter you don't wanna go charging into battle with a group of tankers, and if ya do then don't cry when they beat you senseless.
And don't feel bad I am always getting flak from heroes when they cant touch me while my bots are pounding on them. Man I love personal Force Field!!! The most common thing I hear is "OH PFF (Personal Force Field) what cant fight me in a straight on fight?" Hell no I cant why do you think I took it lol I am an MM everyone knows the easiest way to kill an MM is to ignore his pets and go for him. Well then logic would dictate make it so they cant touch you, so your bots can have fun with them...

Not true. The easiest way to kill an MM is slaughter their pets then take them down. If you take on any MM that has any idea what they are doing logic dictates they will be using bodyguard and only landing ridiculously high amounts of damage will do anything to the MM. Also any good MM will have a variety of debuffs, and mezzes queued up just waiting for the enemy to get near enough to launch them.

On top of that many of the posts here could be read in such a way that the author was condoning Drowning. This tactic is much different from the one at hand and therefore I do not know why the content of these particular posts could possibly pertain to drowning if taken out of context. The tactic and moral issue posed by UD can not be properly answered however because there is not enough information to go on. Although, it can be inferred from the actions of the tankers that they were not trying to capture the pillboxes. If they were then they would have captured them at the exact moment they defeated the last turret. Unfortunately the details are foggy considering UD probably wasn't assessing the situation completely at the time of its occurrence. Therefore I cannot give an accurate answer as to if this is an immoral action or not, but I can say that this feature is a part of the game that was meant to be used and taken advantage of, unlike Drowning which is always unethical and against PvP etiquette no matter what the situation.
Oh, and just for you future benefit, UD: Everyone in RV is lked up to 50, even you. ;-)

I would have to disagree, yes although your exemplar ed to lvl 50 your still not as tough as someone who's base lvl is 50. I have been playing in RV since lvl 41 and I have seen a dramatic improvement over my survivability since then. I dont know if it has to do with your enhancements or what but there is a certain differance.

Yes, it is the enhancements that improve your build in RV IF you are properly slotted of course. You will be working as a lackeyed Lvl 50 with basically RED Lvl 41 Enhancements (if you are normally a Lvl 41) which will do you little good if any at all.

I'm sorry, again I fall victim to not being completely clear in making my point. I meant to say that unless he actually checked to see what their level was by going into their Personal Info (I think they've blocked that though) he wouldn't know what level they actually were. As for the ehns I was told by a good friend who was part of the Lance a while back and who was also a PvP Junkie and a perfectionist (He would actually delete a level 50 toon if it ever lost a single one on one battle) that enhancements kept the same percent boosts they have while you are normal as when you are lked or malfed. He could be wrong though, seeing as I have not tried to verify this information.

You're probably right, Mzzkc, about the Enhancements. Im not sure, but in any case the difference in number of slots between a true 50 and a true 41 or 43 would make some difference in a one-on-one battle.
Perhaps I'm not up on my MMO-PvP-Speak, but what is Drowning? I took it that the OP was taking the PB's immediately after the tanks cleared the turrets, but then if they had truly wanted them he would have been dead meat, so they were probably just Prestige/Infamy Farmers (most likely the former). As far as right and wrong; I dont think the Devs/GM's have come out with a firm ruling on this practice, but it would appear to just be part of the Zone. No harm no foul; snooze ya lose. Is it ethically right to do so if the people killing the turrets ARE going to try to capture the PB; probably not. I personally wouldnt do it, but that's just me. And the person who I saw stealing said PB from me or someone else would end up on the 'Dont Invite/Dont Aid' list. One must remember that someday you may be looking for some help from the people that you just stole the capture from. Villain or not, as Hardcase says 'we may be villains, but we still live here'.

Ok first off .. i caused a uproar *woohoo*
secondly to adress the tactical situation which i did.. the who showed them at base lvl 50 which means that the 9 or so enhancement slots that were the diffrence between them and I worried me plus the fact that for anyone who has played a stalker.. they are not the most fun against tanks even nin ones.. secondly this was the second pill i followed them to.. i donot jump right in i play my stalker as the name suggests i am a very tactics oriented person i will wait if needed and strike when i need to and it appeared to me that they were in fact trying to take over pills
Drowning is droning i believe
And in sirens i hear nothing but complaints about stalkers and hide i have heard on several occasions "try fighting my without hide" and when i do and destroy them they complain about placate or something similar and i explain to them a stalker is weaker then a scrapper without hide they are about 30 percent WEAKER then a base scrapper of same lvl
and lastly... thanks everyone i was kinda worried about my actions not wanting to put a bad name on villians and all that but from what i have seen is that my tactic is bad just MEAN which i can live with

I dunno about stalkers being weaker then scrappers lol I have a lvl 35 blade/regen that can more than hold his own in a one on one fight with a scrapper.

There is no doubts that you have to consider the in game politics with all your actions in and out of PVP. I simple believe that in PVP there is alot of double standards. Point in case today I was in RV and a hero and villain were fighting I like any good villain noticing that a fellow villain was dying moved in to provide aid and end result was the hero taking a dirt nap. Well then the hero began complaining how they were dueling and such so I said my apologize and informed them I had just arrived in zone so was unaware. Well about half an hour later this same hero began attacking me after I was challenged to a duel. Now I dont mind if I get tag teamed (thanks to PFF) but its just an example of how its just silly to get upset when your taken out by someone else during a "duel".
Its just a risk u take when you enter a PVP Zone... its also part of the excitement least it is in my opinion.

Heh-heh. It's my own special word. A bit confusing because it looks like drowning (death due to asphyxia caused by immersion in fluid, usually water), but in reality it's a combination of owning/pwning and Drone (as in police drones or arbiter drones). You see it more commonly used by someone who just had it happen to them. For example, they might say, "Lawl, I just got drowned." I can see how you would be confused though. To alleviate further confusion I think a hyphen should be added. Dro-wned or Dr-owned works just fine I think. Sorry about that though.
