I want to have these two skins working on our server but when I turn on UTCOMP it wont let them work. IS there a workaround or somthing i can turn off to make them work?
the skins are:
DesertAlienSkins01.zip (male i think)
http://www.ut2003hq.com/pafiledb2/pafiledb...on=file&id=4295
and
Cress
http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showt...threadid=440893
I have other skins running with no probs its these two skins that utvot doesn't like?
Thanks

ONly workaround i have gotten to work is to use utvot and utcomp togheter. Keep the current version (15) for clan matches that requir it and load up (13) for everyday use.

There really isn't a workaround with custom skins, some of them just won't work. I'm not exactly sure as to the details on why (but I know somebody around here knows the details).

This is Lotus' answer to a similar question in another thread:
| QUOTE | Skins which are made non-standard (aka, not Textures) like the default skins produced by epic will sometimes be caused to turn completely white. So, custom models which are non-standard (once again, not standard textures) are automatically disabled and set to your fallback character (arclite by default)when using brightened skins.
There are no exceptions made for ECE skins or anything like that, it is just a check for whether or not the skins are TEXTURES like the standard skins included by epic. |
