Hey
I have just made a new ranger in Nightfall
but what is good Secondary profession?
I know the most typical is monk
but I don't wanna be typical
So any good idea are welcome
thank you for the help
(P.S. I have played the game in long time. it's Just my first ranger)

and become a fire ranger..

I've found a R/D with Ebon Dust Aura and Called Shot to be a most enjoyable build to play, especially later in the game (add to that the usual set of ranger skills and you're good to go).

r/e whith fiery bow + mark of rodgort + conjure flame for instant burning + more dmg
r/d with ebon bow + ebon dust aura - target always blinded
r/n with cold bow + spinal shivers for continuous interrupt

Monk is nice to second because of medning and a vamp bow but if you dont want to go that way you can go R/Me mainly for soloing UW and traps

Go for Mesmer, they can solo most part the game:
Famine Ranger
Forest Farmer
Rabies Ettin Solo
UW speed trap duo
Most farming builds are R/me
