| How have they changed the way you play? |
|

This is something that I have been wondering for a little while now, but I never really got around to asking prior to this. Have things like the Vet Rewards and the Safeguard temp powers changed the way you play your hero/villian?
I have been noticing that I've been rethinking the way I can do things with builds that I never really tried before this. For instance, the Atlas safeguard and King's Row Safeguard both give you packs that serve as temporary travel powers with a timer. Due to this, I have actually put off grabbing a regular travel power until level 16 on a couple of characters in favor of grabbing another power like health that will help me more in missions.
Even with heroes that are more commonly ranged attackers, I find myself in the thick of things more with powers like the Sands of Mu and the axe one that I really don't like much.
I just thought it would be interesting to find out if anyone else is finding themselves changing the way they build a toon or play a toon with the addition of all the temp powers that came with I8.

i love the temp travel powers. i have a toon at 18 or 19 and dont plan on taking a travel power until my last temp travel power is almost gone. thats one of the things i loved about CoV.

Yeah I'm along the lines as the others, I haven't taken a Travel Power yet with my Blaster and don't plan on it until my temp power is almost gone.

My tankers all start with Sands of Mu now :)
The biggest change for me has been the vet respecs. For Kheldians, it allows me to put off getting the Nova form until sometime after lvl 6, so that I can work in pool powers and extra slots when I respec into Nova. For non-Kheldians, I really like being able to respec characters when I get to lvl 12 so I that I can rearrange all my slots, sell off redundant/obsolete training enhancements, and switch over to DOs entirely. The only draw back is that since the veteran rewards have come along, I've run so many different builds that I've only been ably to get one character to 20 or higher :/

Thank you for posting this Knick. I would have never thought of waiting on travel powers until now. I also think the sands of mu are great for low level tankers.
