Hey all, I apologize if this is an old topic but as i am somewhat new to the game and I require a bit of assistance.
My character (MagnaHidus) is a lvl 17 Ninja/Dark Miasma MM.
I cannot destroy all 8 turrets fast enough to be able to reprogram the fire base. Any and all help would be appreciated

Well, Unwelcome to Gameamp SaneRazor! Glad you decided to drop by and join us.
I haven't done the Shiva Strike so I can't speak to all the certainties, however, I believe it has been said that if you get each one down low enough, without destroying them (on the first pass), you can go back and take them all out one after the other as they don't regen.
I know for certain that someone with more knowledge will come and correct me on this or add more helpful info.

BishopDon has it right, the turrets don't regenerate. Because of this, it is very easy to solo them, if you can restrain the violence enough to only severely damage them. (I know, this can be tough for us villains to do.)
I solo the Shiva Strike mission almost always, the slow recharge on meteorite samples seems to make teaming this mish rather slow, and you tend to aggro the Shivans around the meteors easier. You should look for bases surrounded by weaker turrets; the boss level missile turrets can get annoying, and you can sometimes find really easy bases with only minion-level turrets.
Soloing the mission usually takes about a half an hour (if you are quick) to get the Shivans, which may seem like alot, but it is well worth it. As you are a mastermind, you will not see the added benefit of the divided aggro, but Shivans pack a wallop. So go out, get those shivans, and you can really start creating some carnage!

Doing the Shiva Strike with a Ninja MM is hard, those turrets shot out fire and my ninjas hate fire. Ask for help in the zone, there are a lot of other Villain players getting Shivas and a team makes it easier to take out the Fire Base. I also send a Broadcast that I am just getting Shivas and not there to PVP and the Hero players normally leave me alone. I had one Hero help me take down the Fire Base turrets. Once I got the Shivas I keep one for getting more. When I am down to one Shiva I go to Bloody Bay collect the meteor rocks and use my last Shiva on the Fire Base. It takes that Shiva a few seconds to do what normally takes me 15 minutes. Hope this help you.

Nuh-uh! I do all my Shiva Strikes in 30 minutes too, without the need for that silly kill them in moderation trick. I pwn all doze turrets very quickly wit mi Ninja/DM (as long as they aren't boss level of course, then it only takes a little while longer). Of course, my Ninja/DM is also level 50 and benefits from the use of his newly acquired Damage/Mez SHO and other level 51-53 SOs, but that's not too much of a difference from Ninja MMs who might only be around the 17 mark. (Oh yeah, Unwelcome to the site SaneRazor! Don't mind me, I'm just one of the local crazies. O-O ) But, I digress.

I'll agree with you there. Ninjas and fire don't mix. Well, they do sometimes, but it usually ends pretty badly for the Ninja.
On a more serious note: I'll agree with everyone else in saying that the 'Weaken the Turrets 'till They're Almost Dead, but Holding Off the Final Blow' method is probably the best option for someone who is having trouble killing them all in time. Yeah. . .
