RE: Warrior Runes

I have on my warrior alone:

1x 750g armor = 750 x 5 = 3750g
3x 1.5k armor = 1500 x 15 = 22500g
1x 15k armor = 15000 x 5 = 75000g

Total = 101205g = 101k 205g

That is a lot of money but i love my warrior and i can run difrent builds. If you love your characther you do that

RE: Warrior Runes

You should DEFINITELY add runes.
Absorbtion, vigor, and minors of anything you always use (ie:Tactics or Strength)
I use 15k armor with minors and universal runes, and then helms with superior runes. Sometimes Gloves instead, because they can't be seen.
And yes, absorption could and should be used on any activity

RE: Warrior Runes

ALWAYS put runes on your armor, they make you more effective.

typically:

head = (+1 weapon attribute) helm of superior ___ mastery (+3 weapon attribute)
chest = sup absorption
legs = sup vigor
feet = minor strength
hands = minor tactics

The absorption from runes is universal, the absorption from knights or ascalon armor isn't.

in some cases you need a helm of sup tactics or strength, so re-arrange as you see fit (i typically will switch the gloves and the helm if i need a sup rune of tactics or strength on my helm)

RE: Warrior Runes

Absorbtion runes are global; if you have one on your armor, it will affect you no matter where you're struck. The same isn't true of Knight's armor, which only affects the part of the body that it is on... However, having an Absorbtion rune is always helpful unless you don't think physical attackers will be a threat to you.

I'd suggest having a super absorbtion (and vigor if you can afford it), minor Strength and Tactics runes, and then the largest weapon mastery rune you feel you can live with. Personally, I prefer to avoid -health runes on my warrior since I use him to tank and that extra 35 or 75 hp helps a tremendous amount whereas the extra damage from higher mastery wouldn't, but different people are free to disagree with me.

Unless your going to hit a certain breakpoint with your skills on a warrior you should probably stick with a major/minor weapon rune not sup the 75 hp doesnt make up for the little amolunt of damage you'll get.

Actually I use the superior rune so that I can get to a certain level without spending the points to get there. You are right for most skills 15 vs 16 doesn't make a significant difference but to be able to get to 15 without spending the 36 points for the last 2 levels give you that many points to spread around in different attributes. SO I would definatly go for a sup rune, unless of course I am tnking a thin kthe extra HP outwieghs the extra attribute level.

That's actually the main reason, especially in solo builds where you split between several attributes.

Also, your weapon attribute level does increase your chance of critical hits, which is how the axe manages to out DPS the sword. (above WM level 12)
