Staff get credited for doing things that normal members can't be (I think), so they have an "advantage" over normal members - which is why they don't show up. Former staffers, because they have had the same advantage, also won't show up in the top five.
(I could be making this up, but it seems reasonable)

Rogue is correct. Us staffers and exstaffers get put on a different credibility list than other people, and only people on the "normal" list can have a place in the top 5.
Whatever Tribina's reasons for leaving the staff, I'm sure he had good ones, and I'm also pretty sure that he'll still be around both ingame and onsite.
Edit: Oh, staffers don't techincally have an "advantage" over other people in terms of credit, though from my own experience people tend to give staff credit more than nonstaff for the same stuff. In most cases, they're also more active content posters and so get more credit that way.

Noooooo! I didn't do it! You can ask him! Trib has had some really great RL stuff tht has come up and he just doesn't have the time needed to be staff any more.
I hope that is a viable explanation...

Hey ;-)
Indeed IRL issues made me decide to quit being a staffer on this site..
You may know I got promoted at work, and I am responsible now for a huge website from my company and also in charge of a server with 25 PC's on it and working on a program for my company that should be finished in 2008..
This means I gotta spend a lot more time on my work..
As my guild is the most important subject of Guildwars, I won't cut in my online-time..
Sadly Gameamp had to go for me.. I do visit it a lot still, couldn't leave gameamp behind ;-) but I don't have the time enough to do all the staff work..
I wouldn't wanna be an inactive staffer, if I can do it, I wanna put a lot of time and effort in it, and I haven't got that no more ;-)
About the credibility.. Staffers don't get an advantage.. If I got credits for every single pic I posted of the armor pages.. I would have had more than 10,000 credibility in total just for those pages ;-)
Don't know why I'm still categorized as Staffer Credibility on this page.. Coz I'm no longer a staffer.. Maybe a correct list would be ex-staffer or something..
But I doubt it would be top priority for the devs to make something like that ^^
hope this explains a bit for you ;-)
