Travel Power 

Looking for a bit of advice. I've got a Spines/Reg Scrapper at level 11 at the minute which is going along very nicely, hardly any downtime with a very nice damage output with Lunge, Impale and Sands of Mu (Brawl fills in the gaps). I've run the Safeguard twice now and have a Raptor Pack (1.75hrs left) and a Zero-G Pack (full 2 hrs) so is it worthwhile skipping the usual travel powers till later? At the minute I haven't taken any lead in powers (Combat Jump, Teleport Friend etc).

I hadn't thought about it, but with the temp powers it would be possible to skip them until say 16 or 18. I wouldn't go to long without getting them. You don't want the temp powers to run out in the middle of a task force or something.

I would recommend getting those travel powers now instead of putting them off, unless you plan on being 16 or 18 within 4 hours of gameplay. Temp powers can seem like they last forever, but don't make them take up the slack for your own personal powers.

Nowadays I get SS on all my new toons. Hasten is always handy, and SS is a perfect travel power unless you need to go up. And the safeguard missions have solved that. If you don't use your jetpack and jumppack unless really necessary they will last till you are 50. There is no real need to get SS at 14 either. You can start with picking swift from the fitness pool on your way to health and stanima.
