Single Origin Enhancements at level 10?!? 

Ok...so here's the deal. At level 15, you can start getting missions in the Faultline. Head on over there and talk to Jim Tembelor. He's your first story arc contact. Finish his arc. It's fun.

Jim will introduce you to a nice young lady with a really cool background story, that I'm not going to mention here because this isn't a spoiler tread...at least not completely. Take Penelope's arc...finish it. In the final mission of Penelope's arc, you'll rescue her father, Mr. Yin. When you successfully complete this mission, you'll get a badge, the Rescuer badge (i think that's how it's spelled). When you get the badge, you'll have access to Mr. Yin's shop...

Penelope's dad runs a special hidden shop in the Faultline (the entrance is right next to her). In this shop, you can buy a limited supply of SINGLE ORIGIN ENHANCEMENTS that are level 13, 17 and 21. By limited I mean they are REALLY limited.

Natural and Mutation players can get Damage Enhancements. I don't recall off hand what the other origins can get (but I'm sure someone will fill this in), but this is HUGE. For scrappers and blasters, especially, having damage SOs that you can use at level 10 is a HUGE bonus.

My strategy: Have a high level money making character join the Rescue Mr Yin mission with a lower level character...finish the mission. Buy the new enhancements with the high level character and have a friend (or supergroup enhancement container) help you transfer your Level 13 SOs to your new lowbie level 10 character.

YAY! Damage!

So the bottom line hint of this...if you make a Blaster or a Scrapper (or another damage based character) make them Mutant or Natural origin!

Science - Recharge
Natural - Damage
Mutation - Damage
Technology - Endurance Cost
Magic - Accuracy

WOW! If that really pans out like that, talk about an "Easter Egg"! That's cool!

Anything at that level that would equate to improved enhancements would be a boost for anyone. Even if they only offer a couple. I know most of my toons feel gimped until level 22. I've just gotten used to it.

I know that this is basically the wrong site for this, but many of us are playing both heroes and villains.

Has anyone found an equivalent easter egg like this for villains?

I only have a couple of toons that are below 25 any longer on the Heroes side, but I have lowbies galore on Villains.

I did this with my second highest toon and my mouth dropped open when I was in there. Not only is Mr. Yins a cool place to be in but you get SO enhancments early. And then he has level 17s and up also. I went and bought five of each enhancement so that way I could put it in the base for everyone to get. It was like Christmas people said =) I am so loved now ROFL.

Ya, I finished this arc last night, and it was a nice change of pace from the game. Interesting mishes, cool rewards, plus, if you play you're cards right, you can get hella rewards. My friend and I did the "defeat Kurse" mission, with him at lvl 16 on Invincible, which makes Kurse an AV, and whoo boy, was that reward nice. I have a scrapper that was lvl 17, and hes a 16 Kin/Psy defender, and with speed boost always on me and heals popping constantly, we did it easy. We then received 1600 xp and influence for beating him, 1200 xp and influence for beating the mish, and a SO enhancement for beating him. Faultline is my new hangout :) I cannot wait to hit 20 and continue on with Doc Delilah's mishes. Sorry, I was going to post the remaining Mr. Yin origin and subsequent enhancements, but I forgot them. I believe Magic got either time reducers or accuracy, and tech and science got damage and defense, but don't quote me.

You will like the rest of the storylines in faultline. I actually was really sad when I finished them all. It was the same in Croatoa. I love those two zones. They just are special. Striga is kind of that way also. God I love this game =)

Two weeks ago I was on a Villain team running newspaper missions in Grandville and my friend was playing a lvl 18 toon that was lackeyed to a lvl 43. He was getting lvl 4 DO enhancement drops and the last one dropped was a lvl 4 damage SO - all mutation. The last time I saw anything like this was a year ago when a lvl 16 accuracy SO (Magic) was dropped for me during a mission.

Yeah, there were some missions way back when that dropped low level SOs and DOs now and then. I remember getting a Level 16 or 17 in Villains a while back as well.

Very cool about the REALLY low level ones though. Be neat for new level 1s to have some L4 SO and DOs. :)

At long last, here's the list.

Each origin has a different enhancement type they can use, so your origin actually matters...

Mutation and Natural are the same for some reason...

Science - Recharge
Natural - Damage
Mutation - Damage
Technology - Endurance Cost
Magic - Accuracy

So for some builds, your origin could make a huge difference.
