Despite potential for griefing and abuse I was wondering why the Devs cant give us an Influence storage device for the SG bases. We already have one for Enhancements, Inspirations, and Salvage. So, why not Influenc?
I think the only thing they would need to add is a way for SG leaders to limit the amount of withdrawing based on something like SG rank. This would definently keep members playing in SG mode more. I know I find it hard in the 30s to balance prestige and influence gain.
Or, for those without a SG or who dont want one why not put AIMs(automatic influence machines) in game or just in Atlas? As stated above, if I belong to a SG I can pass my alts Enhancements, Inspirations, or Salvage all day long. The only thing I cant personally move to an alt at this point is Influence.

I think the thing that's stopping them is that influence isn't supposed to be a tangible thing. It's supposed to be exactly that...influence. You save Bob from some hellions, Bob has some good words to say about you. Later on, because of helping Bob, his brother's roommate, who works for Subgenetics, hooks you up with something to enhance your powers.
Get it?
On the flip side, it would make things a WHOLE lot easier.

That's just it though. They were talking about depositing in a SuperGroup base, so that the entire SG can benefit from it.
If Amos of the SuperGroup "We all have first names that begins with A" saves Wendy from the Hellions, when Wendy sees Adam from the same SG, she is going to think well of Adam because of the help she got from Amos.
So technically, influence spreads. Otherwise the developers wouldn't have let it be tangible at all.

But that's exactly the point. The devs have always tried to slow down the spread of influence from one character to another. That's why, even when they took away the little wheels and let us just type in the amount of influence to trade, they still limited us to 5 digits. They will probably always limit us to 5 digits. They just don't want it to be convenient to pass larger amounts of influence.
One thing you might try, which several SG's are doing, is to designate one enhancement bin for trash enhancements to sell for influence. Fill it with those uselless level 40 generics amd DO's you're going to sell or drop anyway.

well, tahts why SGs have prestige. The individuals are influential, and the organization they belong to are prestigious.

maybe if there were storage NPCs, we could "spread the word" about other heroes on the account, and transfer influence btwn toons.

This feature already exists. The exchange rate just blows.

Your right about that Thundar. I can't believe they even added this option like this (1,000,000 influence for 2000 prestige) it is just crazy for someone to waste influence like that for such little prestige.

Yes, you can excange 1,000,000 influence for 2,000 prestige at the supergroup registration desk. However, the option doesn't show up unless you have at least 1,000,000 influence at the time and you can only spend in blocks of 1,000,000 influence.
I agree, this exchange rate is not very fair. You get a much better deal when you give up your influence for prestige by fighting in SG mode, even if you are getting only 6 prestige per arrest.
