Well I tried some other mmorpgs out; watched my friend play CoH..never really got involved in it. New friend from CP told me to try Lineage2. Is the pvp better than DAoC?

I have no idea how the PvP in lineage 2 is, however I never liked the PvP in Dark Age of Camelot.. Maybe just cause i have high standards because of the great PvP in Guild Wars. :)
Check out Pirates of the Burning Sea... Yarr! We got some interestin stuff goin on!

Lineage 2 has some pretty good PvP...
Only problem is the grind to get to a high level. Downside is also the fact that when you die, you loose a certain amount of XP.
If you're a daily-type of gamer, it's not so bad.
Also if you're the one doing alot of player killing - pvp.
But - player killing - on massive levels can also be bad - since they give you up to like 5 "free" player kills (when other player doesn't fight back). You develop karma, and your name becomes red. You can work it off by getting XP. Or. Dying.
After the 5, you have a pretty good chance of dropping anything in your inventory...
Which if you're lvl 50+ and have nice weapons, armor, etc - it sucks.
Granted, that's just player killing (PKing).
There's good things though. In selected cities, there's arenas - where you can go into, and kill all you like, and die all you like - without loosing XP or things in your inventory. Collisieum is a good choice too.
Loosing XP in the game can suck at times. The grind to get to the higher levels is...for lack of a better word, a b*tch.
Lineage 2 has it's ups and downs to sum it up really...
Pretty good PvP.
Expecially if you're in a clan - and at war. That's always fun as well.
You don't loose as much XP, and you don't get karma for killing someone if they don't fight back... so long as they're a member of a clan you're at war with.
So yeah. Good times.
