welcome to gameamp walking_tall!
before i answer that question, i have one to ask you:
who is your daddy and what does he do?
ok now back to yours. macros can do a wide variety of functions in game. they can be used to make your character say something everytime he uses a specific power or even activate a power and change your costume.
the level of complexity of the macro would depends solely on what you desire to do with said macro.
if you give us an idea of what you want it to do, someone can probably whip one up quick like.

welcome to the site!! dont let big scare you away with his question, you dont have to answer it. Everyone here is really friendly so feel free to ask as many questions as you want.
As for macros in addition to what big said they actually go into your power tray to be activated. Binds are keys on your keyboard to do a similar action. Im not very good at them so ill leave it at that but i know a few people on the site are fluent in them.

Here are 2 ways for you Col. the first is a bind and the second is a macro, which will place a button in your power tray.
/bind P, "team $target, is my Snow Storm anchor$$powexec_name Snow Storm"
/macro SS, "team $target, is my Snow Storm anchor$$powexec_name Snow Storm"
Both should say in the team channel the name of your target plus is my Snow Storm anchor, then fire off Snow Storm. When typing it in make sure you use powexec_name and not powerexec_name. When I first started with macros and binds I always added the "r", which is incorrect.
Let me know if these worked for you.

thanks Anachron

We have a few threads around here somewhere with more examples of good binds and macros you can use. Let me see if I can dig some up.
Here's some of the better ones:
Some of these are about macros, some about binds, but the code between the quotes is the same either way. To make a macro, you start with /macro Name "code code code." For a bind, it's /bind KEY "code code code." For example:
/macro Int \"powexec_name Integration $$ e roar\"
/bind I \"powexec_name Indegration $$ e roar\"
The first example binds your Integration power to the Roar emote as a macro, with "Int" written on the button. The second example binds them to your I key.
