During the double XP weekend I dusted off my level 12 illusion/ff controller.
I got invited to a team. A scrapper, blaster and another controller. I quickly learned the these players must be young by the way they were behaving the loved teleporting each other. We slugged our way through the mission with everyone with the exception of me constantly getting killed dispite my best efforts. Last big room have to kill everyone to complete the mission. Just me and the inexperienced scrapper. I started at one end and by myself completed the mission while the scrapper watched. The other two were outside of the mission somewhere.
After the mission was done. They were blown away by what I had done by myself with a controller and went on for several minutes how cool that was.
It was one of those moments that makes gaming worthwhile.

I had a similar experience about a year ago on my empathy defender. I got invited to a team that was about lvl 35 (I was 32). We were rolling through the mish but in one room everyone but me died. I rezzed a scrapper and since there was still some agro we decided to fight rather than run. The two of us, with him fighting and me spamming buffs and heals, managed to clear the entire room. The rest of the team was amazed we had cleared it so easily considering the entire team had wiped in the exact same room.

I once did numina task force just recently with a good team. But for you that know of that point in the last mish were you open the doors and BOOM nothing but Devouring Earth. Yeah so our whole team died. 1 blaster me....3 scrappers...2 trollers... and HEMAN a SS/INVL tank. named the big one. In that room that we died in he took on like 12 Earth that were orange and red and wiped them all out i was like D@#$. He owned therefore inspired me to create a SS/Invl brute on villians

I kinda pulled a similar thing with a PUG the other day with my Grav 'troller. He's only level 6, but I did some serious cleaning up in the last room.

I've of course had my "moments" as we've all had but my favorite moments tend to be the ones when a sidekicked tanker/scrapper goes rushing headlong into the baddies without waiting for buffs, backups, etc...
In fact, on Freedom last night, this very thing happened. Our tanker typed "ready" and before anyone could follow up with their own "ready"s, he ran in and got spanked! To his credit, he did say he was sorry and immediately quit after this.

In my healin days...
Me n lord starwolf started a pug, and we got two blasters. this was during the time that the lovely astral plane was in his twenties... and we were still unsure as to the total abilities of dwarf mode.
The entire room was orange to three of us and red to the other, and all the bad guys were congregated right at the entrance. using pretty intense healing and some pretty kickin' crowd control, we slaughtered them. ten minutes or so of non-stop fighting... i remember because hasten had come up about four or five times.
sigh... to be young again.
Thanks to Death Fetish for kicka$$ siggy!!!

A few months back a fellow SG member and I were running a train mish of mine as a duo, he is an Eng/Eng blaster and I was on my main SS/Inv Tank. He was SK'd up to me and when we rounded a corner we ran smack into a 2 tightly packed groups of Rikti (whoops!) each group had a communications officer which resulted in the group size almost doubling on us quickly. He did not last too long and had to make a Hospital run. While he was away I kept swinging away at them and just as he returned I was crushing the last of them. To which he could only say "wow now that was an awesome display". I did have to burn up all my insp and my dull pain x2 to do it but it was freakin cool!

Ah yes, the good old days when Sunshine- actually played. I remember that mish. You've all been there, the server decides to be cute and pile the baddies right inside the door. You click to go in, turn to get your drink, and turn back and it's already on. I couldn't even see. All I saw were flashes and some kind of movement in front of me while we pounded away. Really impressed the hell out of those two blasters too.
And Brim, see what happens when you miss staff meetings? We sent you a memo. You need to show up around here more often. We missed you.
