Mounts In Chaper 4 Of Guild Wars

Ok,

I've heard a lot of people saying, "You know, they are going to make mounts for chaper 4, noob!" All i want to say is their is a very good chance their AREN'T GOING TO BE MOUNTS. WoW had mounts so you can travel from city to city and stuff, without having to pay...In guild wars, you can travel from Ascalon to Kaineng without paying, or even having to watch a cinematic of you flying there. What would you possably get from mounts other than maybe, quicker runs.

Why would you need mounts?

maybe they could not be for travelling? there could be an attribute like beast mastery that you can put some points in, so when you get into battle you are doing 2 attacks like you would if you had a pet, and the attribute would have a few mount attacks also :)

still i do think it would be kinda pointless :P

i agree, we dont need content ripped offfrom other games. i saw that happen with Star War Galaxies and it pretty much killed the game overnight when the NGE (new game enhancement).

I wondered why you couldn't saddle Santa's Raindeer after you saved them... :-p

But besides... "Running" is part of the way of life with Guild Wars. Running someone from Ascolon to Sanctum Cay (yes I do do that run sometimes) is a big part of guild wars. Mounts? No way.

Well I think mounts dont fit in GW, I mean the only mounts ive seen so far are the Skeleton Knight in the swamps outside ToA and the Stone Summits using those weird beasts. As said before, there is no point in having mounts in the current GW, cept for the Droks run of course.

However, if A-net was to make a big world for the next chapter where mounts would fit in, it might work out, but then again u wont b able to take em to tyria, kamadan and cantha cuz they wont fit in.

So I guess there wont b mounts in the nect 1, could b some nice eyecandy but it wont improve the game and it would ruin the GW formula!

I mean the only reason i could think of a use for a mount is for looks. I seriously think it'll be cool to see my Dervish on a mount slicing through a group of foes with his scythe.

Oh and those things the stone summit ride are called Dolyaks... and i want one. :P

The only possable way i'd see fit for mounts is a special event kind of mission like the wurms.

I think that if they do add mounts, it would be similar to the wurms in nightfall: cool, but severely limited.

These type of posts and topics are RUINING the community. Who cares if they may or may not add mounts. It's nice to have something to want. It keeps you working to finish game. If they do add mounts though, it should be something like you have to finish the game, have to finish a extremely hard quest, and have to be a certain age old. And y can't there be mounts, u just limit where u can go with them.

i'd love to see this, kinda like riding on top of a horse or another animal (IE Tiger, Lion, even a Dragon), would be cool to have a basis of a mission on

I say NO to general mounts. However, a mounted class, that only uses its mount in battle and outside of towns, like a Dolyak Rider, would be cool :/

No those aren't dolyaks, those are some kind of giant bears.
Dolyaks look like big buffaloes or yaks or wildebeests or something. The Deldrimor dwarves keep them as pack animals as well as the stone summit.
