I got me a new PC yesterday HP s7700n with an integrated nvidia 6150 LE graphics chipset. Now when I try to play CoX it says my drivers are outdated. I've updated the drivers to version 100.59 and it still gives me this message. When I try and play despite the message it's black and white and the screen is cut in half, the left side is on the right and vice versa. A little help here?

I recall hearing that someone else with Vista actually had to load some older versions of their drivers in order to get their graphics card to work properly, perhaps you could try that. Hope that helps out...

No offense intended here at all, but Integrated Video = Bad.
1) Your integrated video is going to use system memory, which is slower than the memory they use on seperate video cards AND it eats up resources your computer could be using.
2) The video processor is being controlled by the normal CPU instead of the graphics card CPU. This will slow down your experience.
3) Because of the slower experience, with the integrated video and sound, the sound is going to be choppy and weird, more than likely.
Possible resolutions: That PC will not allow you to install a new video card. Plain and simple. It's a small form factor case. One option is going to be to drop a lot of the settings in CoH. Turn off shadows. Turn off anti-aliasing. Turn the particles way down. Things like that. It's a powerful machine, but the video on it is lacking. Its really a PC that's designed more for business applications. Increasing the memory to 2G will help, but not greatly.
If your primary use for the PC is gaming, you might want to consider seeing if you are able to return it to get a different model. I just picked up the HP Pavillion a1730n. I added on a PNY Nvidia GForce 7900 GS. The PC shipped with 2 Gig, so I was fine with that. The game runs SPECTACULARLY on this rig and it wasn't extremely expensive. (Office Max had it for $699, I paid $150 for the video card at Best Buy.)
If your primary use for the PC is more number crunching with the occasional CoH use, stick with what you've got and deal with the lower graphic settings.
Lastly, with Vista and the newer processors, you'll want to make a change to your CoH shortcut. Add the following values after the last " in the shortcut:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -compatibleCursors 1 -renderthread 1
(the compatibleCursors 1 and renderthread 1 things are what you want to add)

Allright I put in the commands that Ron suggested and it did fix my cursor problem (that I didn't even post about...Ron's psychic!) But the message still says I have old drivers and the screen is still funny. No offense taken Ron I know integrated isn't the best. Thanks!

Yeah, mine still says I have old drivers as well, and I've downloaded the newest video drivers from nVidia. I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Try dropping the settings lower like I suggested.

Woot I got it to work. I did turn down some settings, just in case, but haven't really pushed the envelope so to speak on this machine yet. I don't know how I got it to work. I rolled the drivers back to 97.46 and it still said they were old but when I played color came back and screen readjusted. Thanks all, especially Ron!

We'd be pretty much useless if it weren't for the users...heck, we were all regular users on here at one time or another.
