When I first palyed through Prophecies, I never got to the jungle. I skipepd it because I went exploring from ToA and found Sanctum Cay. I thought it was normal and did that with all of my characters and never knew about the Meguuma Jungle till near the beginning of CHapter 2. Anyone else do this?

*cough* ok, believe me or not, but in a daring journey with a team of '''what we thought back then of ourselves'' brave undefeatable heroes, we managed to reach droks with -60 DP, dont ask how, we just thought this was part of GW's.
I seem to have gotten to quite some places before i actually discovered/heard about the ascensions part in desert... i was like: d...desert? you mean the sandy thing on the map? can you get there then???
*smacks head* oh the fools we were
(that was at the start of GW's really, was with a ''newbie'' group for quite some time, and we continued doing quests together, got quite far but in droks we split apart, still had fun though, frankly no-one ever joined my guilds since only 2 out of us 7 didn't want to join, but create a guild.
Ah well, i know its probably that you think its fake, but i still keep laughing when i think of it, ...skipped the desert...

Now, I never did "not know" of the jungle. With my first character, I got lost in the Jungle for hundreds of hours. x.x Though with my Monk, I was bored of going all the way through the game, for an 8th time, so I skipped the jungle and got ran. xD
When I first started to play the game, I was on a horrid computer. I would keep getting the blue screen of death when I picked an item up. So once I rebooted, I would delete and make another girl, thinking the freeze up would hurt my game. x.x

It took me about two weeks to realize we had such a thing as "missions". good times, when everything is still new.

haha yes after i got out of pressearing(level 5) i did a bunch of quests and didn't really know what guild wars was about. I thought it was all about getting to level 20 and getting money and didn't realise there was such thing as missions. I also looked for a quest to restore Ascalon to it's old goodness for like a whole day...I finally found out the missions after almost a month of sitting in ascalon.

My first time through bloodstone fen, a lvl 20 monk was with us and I kept asking him how he got +9 regen out of his Healing Breeze. I was a necro then.

I remember when I got my first few gold items, I thought I was going to be rich. It didn't help that a friend who'd been playing awhile (though he didn't know too much about PC's) told me they were worth around 20k. I spent awhile trying to sell them before I gave up. Maybe that's why I hate selling so much now. Those were the days of griffin farming, too. I didn't know what farming was, but I knew that was how you made money. I didn't have all that many noob moments though, mainly because I found this site pretty quick, and because I had a slightly less noobish friend helping me out with basics.
Something else I remembered, though this isn't exactly a noob moment, since I'd been playing for a long time. For the longest time, THK was the last mission in the game for me. I tried it a bunch of times on my ranger, couldn't ever finish it. So I made a necro, played him through all missions and quest until THK, don't think I even tried it with him, just started a warrior and a monk. Played all the way through on my warrior, and actually managed to do THK on my first try with him. Made me think warriors were super awesome. Not that they aren't, but they don't make the difference for beating THK or not.

lol it took me 1 1/2 months to beat the Great Northern Wall mission because I thought you had to kill all the Charr and I was only lvl 8 my group would go WTF? when I ran down there and then I aggroed all of them and came back screaming "help! Help! HELP! HELP ME PLZ!" on the team channel with like 30 Charr chasing me until one person was nice enough to tell me to not fight the Charr. X.X
When I just got Factions I was spamming LFR to Cavalon in the chat channel in Kaineng with everybody calling me noob until somebody told me I had to do the missions. =P
ahhh, the good old newbie days. =)

That's not so bad, I would imagine a lot of people get confused with that.
When I was teaching my little brother to play on my account (Shh, don't tell Anet), every time I'd leave him alone, I'd come back and find him doing some super noob thing, like trying to sell his armor and stuff. He was a super noob for a long time, who thought he was pretty good.

Lol. I had another total noob-out moment when I first got the game.
I thought I was too good for the instruction booklet, so I never read it.
I made a ranger/ele and got to lvl 20...without using ANY attribute points.
When I found out about them, I freaked out cuz y'know, back then if you set one wrong, you'd hafta get like, 250exp to change it. So I got scared and just deleted the character.
I've never made anotehr Ranger since...

Yeah long before you could buy rez sig, on my third character out of pre-searing I totally forgot to get rez sig for my Warrior/Ranger. The real amazing part is that not only did I not have it but I beat the game without it. What's even more amazing is that people let me in there groups, partially cause I was a enigma. On the plus side I was able to run around with a pet till I switched to warrior/monk and finally got a rez still don't have rez sig but my canthan monk does. . . . . . I wonder if you can still leave pre without it?

Last year when the game came out my dad and me got a account for each of us. (2 accounts since theres 2 of us)
When I looked at what he used for his elementalist he used a wand and focus. I said it sucks because the stats for them aren't really good because you can't really costumize them to be effective equipment. But he declined and said he just likes it for the 30 extra energy for both wand and focus.
Now this month I wanted a new good staff for my elementalist since I finally made one when Nightfall came out. I wanted a staff with a half recharge high chance because the spells I used casted quick enough. So I looked into the guru green list and found no staff had the stats I wanted, then I looked into wand and focus greens and found the I can get the half recharge chance to 40%.
So for a entire year of guildwars I thought wands and focus items sucked when they were in fact just as good as staffs.

Oh then i have another funny one, that still goes until this day and will probably continue for a long time.
A friend of mine played Guild Wars about one month after i started playing, now, here is the fun thing, his dad, seeing him play GW all day, got interested and just asked innocently what his password was. He told it and well, let's say one day he got home and found his dad playing Guild Wars, ofcourse, it was fun too see but the bad thing was, within no-time he managed (somehow) to get his ranger to level 20, and he still refuses to get his own account to this day.
Luckily he stopped playing Guild Wars that much, but still, whenever im at his place and his dad kicks him from the game computer (since his laptop isn't good for Guild Wars) every few minutes you hear him shouting for help with a mission, why? He can't be arsed with the english texts -_-
(and he never heard of walkthroughs)
So remember kids, keep your parents AWAY from Guild Wars, and if they start showing interest in it, make them buy their own account, nothing is worse then being logged out because your dad or mom logs in on your account (especially no in those hard missions ;]
