I was looking up SG badges I could work on to get. I came across one that was called Rikti plasma turret. It said that you have to defeat Lanaru the mad 5 times. who is this?
I tried looking up some info about him & wasn't able to find anything about him. does anyone know who he is & how to find & kill him?

Lanaru the Mad:
(warning: backstory approaching. read at your own risk. not valid where prohibited)
Lanaru is one of the 3 bits of Rularuu's mind that was created long long ago. Lanaru is, quite frankly, mad. Seriously mad. While Faathim is peaceful and tries to keep the Shard together, and Ruladak tries to conquer the entire world and Earth along with it, Lanaru just likes to kill people.
enough backstory. ewwww...backstory...
anyways: Lanaru inhabits the 2nd Death Star in ths Shadow Shard, which is located at the very VERY end of the game. As in WORLD'S END. Storm Palace, as far away from the enterance gate as you can get.
The only way to rack up the kills for Lanaru is to run Faathim the Kind's Task Force. There is a handy-dandy guide about said Task Force written by some fool and idiot (trust me, he said it's ok to say that) over in the TF section. Faathim's TF is 44-50, full team of 8 required.
At the very End of the TF, you have to navigate your way to his Death Star home, stopping and clicking glowies on the way. In the final mish, there's Lanaru in the center, surrounded by his personal troops, the Elementals. (giant floating cloud-like thingies. Think the green blob from the Star Trek episode of Futurama) You're looking at a lot of psy nasty stuff.
Lanaru of course has the wonderful trick of spawning boss level Elementals while under attack, so be watchful of that.
So, to recap:
Lanaru's mad. Lanaru can only be gotten through the Faathim the Kind TF (written by a fool in the TF section), lvl 44-50, need 8 to start. Kill him 5 times to get the badge. (your SG only needs to kill him 5 times WHILE IN SG MODE. you could kill him twice, somebody else could kill him 3 times. whatever) Oh. 1 more thing: He's at the WORLD'S END, so to speak.

Atlas -> Steel -> Talos - > PI - > FBZ -> CA -> Chantry - > Storm Palace -> 2.06 mi away (roughly)

Zapper would have to hit 44, first. he's still at roughly 43.5, with 2 open story arcs, and i'm trying to also nail down the nemesis weather control badge (meterologist) before i get out of range and enter the 45-50 range.
it'd be a bit.
Lunar: sorry about your head. :) The shard and her mysteries can be a pain to understand at times.

Thx for the feed back. looks like it may be awhile before we even get that badge then. I do have a lvl 50 scrapper on infinity, but don't think I will be doing that TF 5 times anytime soon. but maybe I'll try & run it this Saturday if I get the people. I rather enjoyed the story, great job DC.

Hold on a second, we're talking about Faathim's TF, not Quarterfields. :P Faathim is more of the 4-6 range, as opposed to Q's 6-9.
NOTE: Granted, if your team is just downright sucky (sorry), Faathim HAS BEEN KNOWN to run..dare i say (dare, dare!) 11 hours. Then 10 hours the next week.
