Character Progress Tracker

I've created a new utility to track character mission progress. Its available at http://gwtrack.roharsroughnecks.com

It doesn't use cookies or javascript, so you needn't worry about key loggers, or other security issues with standalone utilities.

My guildies have found this utility to be quite useful, and would like to extend its use to the entire GW community. If you choose to create an account please do not use your guild wars account password.

You don't download it. Its a web based utility. You do have to manually enter your characters and which missions they have completed. It tracks whether you have complete Standard/Experts/Masters (in Prophecies Mission/Bonus/Both) then you can see that status of all your characters in a summary page. It allows you to quickly find which characters need to complete what missions. Its very helpful when someone asks "Does anyone else need Vizunah Masters?" in alliance chat.

LOL. Apparently ;) 4 of them are from my second account though, before I could buy slots. I've only purchased two though.

I do enjoy PvE, you can see why the character tracker was a requirement of mine.

I might try that out some time, for now, il post the stuff i done and been with my chars on guild forums, i find it hard enough getting some guildies on my forum let alone check a character progress tracker :P
(nope, i don't kick them for being lazy to do that, i only take their right to complain about stuff that's clearly stated on forums and website)

Plus, if people get their keys logged, i guess they all know at who to look at :/

I've added tracking for the Sorrows Furnace and Titan quests now as well. Let me know if there are any other quests you would like to see tracked.

I'm also considering adding Elite Skills tracking, but I've seen so many other good utilities that do this, I'm not sure what benefit it might be to the community.

You can now download your summary page in a macro free XML spreadsheet file for off line viewing.

Remember they've reset those things once, so you could open them again.

Ontopic: Nice feature, but you can kinda see ingame at which mission you are, although it is nice to be able to see what reward you got and that its viewable for all chars in one page :)

Thats why I created it. I have 12 PvE characters and a bad memory, so its nice to quickly determine which character(s)need masters when you see the old, "Anyone need Ruins of Morah" in alliance chat.

I've just added the Mallyx quests to the tracker. I've also added the ability to Show/Hide sections of the summary page for easier viewing.

Not sure, but I believe third-party programs that interact with the game such as this are illegal and can get you banned. I'm not sure if this counts as it only counts your character's progress but it does interact with the game causing it (i think) to be against the EULA.

Not sure so you might want to make sure so it doesnt hurt your account.

This doesn't violate the terms. It does not alter anything in Guild Wars, nor even requires Guild Wars running/to have been running to work. It's simply a page where you enter whether or not you completed a mission or not/etc.

I haven't signed up for an account or anything, but it looks totally harmless.

You don't have to take my word for it that its harmless ;) I do not ask for e-mail addresses, I specifically request that people do NOT use any guild wars information when creating accounts, and it does not run any java script and/or use cookies.

Turn your browser security windows to MAXIMUM and you'll see the site runs just fine :)

Wow this is great I love the vanquisher, chests and hard mode stuff.
Great site ;)

Edit: Just had to point this out but when you press "Hide" it loads the whole page again, same thing when you press "Show".
Just seen Hide/Show things before where it doesn't reload the whole page (No idea what I'm talking about).

I haven't looked at this yet (at work), but this sounds like a great little application (or spreadsheet or whatever) for someone who has a really bad memory (like myself) ill check it out when i get home

I've added treasure chest open DATE tracking to The Character Progress Tracker. Now you can review at a glance, how many days it has been since you've made your last chest run!

I'm Rohar Dragontamer and I have 13 other chars that end in Dragontamer, and Durza has a Durza Dragontamer.

I've also created a web based utility that lets you track your character progress at gwtrack.roharsroughnecks.com.

I've updated the Character Progress Tracker so that all the links point to the official Guild Wars Wiki. I've also expanded the links to include all 264 items that are currently tracked. The Treasure Chests link point directly to the maps so route finding will be quick and easy. Enjoy!
