Mutants [MU] Celebrate the event in style
I just wanted to send a big thanks to Anet for this event and the recent updates. The event has been fantastic IMO, I loved the idea of the Chefs, visiting all those places to collect the items rekindled my love for them.
The rollerbeetle racing was absolutely great, excellent minigame complete with power ups, fantastic! I was absolutely rubbish at it but that didnt stop me having sleepless nights.
Fireworks - love 'em have a few hundred stashed now and ready to celebrate at short notice !
Loved how LA looked, got some nice Frap footage for later use.
I'm still trying to fathom exactly what it does but love the special effect for 'Lucky Aura'
The quests were fun and not relient on high level and the rewards well worth it.
I could go on....but all I really wanted to say was a big Thanks ! to Anet for the event.

I really loved this event too. There was just something about it that made it a ton of fun. I did the same quests 8 times over one after the other, when all you got out of them was some fireworks, and yet I was having a blast.

Yes :D it was really awesome, mini games, festival, gifts, the miniature pig :D and everything else. I really enjoyed this weekend. Well i actually enjoy everday when I play Guild Wars :P

i loved the event at the start but the best bit for me was the mini pig and the fireworks.
I couldnt do the Beetleracing as i got err7s each time.

BEST EVENT EVER!
This was just the best event ever, was fun and made the guild all active at the same time, hopefully something like this will happen soon again ^^
P.S, for the ones with good eyes, yes, some characters have been placed with photoshop, since not everyone is online at the same time, and those interested should still be able to take part in this.

I would like to thank all the other players who have been coming to Shing Jea with farmed materials and giving them to the chefs. Several times today I've been involved in co-ordinating who's got what and whether or not we have all the ingredients with other players, and their generosity has been superb. I'd also like to thank the players who have been leaving excess materials with me because they would be unable to attend later appearances.
Rollerbeetle racing was bizarre......brilliant, but bizarre.....I hope they keep it!
Saturday was completely unplayable because of lag, freezes and problems with being logged-out when I zoned. Today, however, was brilliant!

I got Lucky aura outside LA, and decided to go on a solo farm of those imps and skale (to get some blobs for the chefs)....everything that dropped was purple, a blob or a rare material, and the money drops were higher than they usually are in that region. Also, there were a couple of times when I was hit with immolate and I didn't burn.
[edit] i was playing a rit at the time, with no skills that would stop or block burning.

I'll second just about everything that's been said so far. The event was none other than spectacular, and was by far the most enjoyable to date. The quests were...different *cough*NIAN*cough* ehem...the rollerbeetle racing was tremendous fun, and the cooking contest idea was ingenious.

Standing in an over crowded district right now waiting for the celestial pig, theres hardly any spam just conversation to make sure we have all the ingredients, It is a great idea, brings all the players together for a common aim. I hope they do something like this again, challenging and makes people friendlier :)

Yes, all hail the great and wondrous ANet for a fantastic Canthan New Year! The racing was great (I sucked, but it was soooo much fun I just couldn't quit), and the quests were very entertaining (the Knights Who Say Nian!) Great job, and thanks for all the hard work you put into it. I can't wait to see what you guys think up next.

Some give up hope way to fast ''OMG LOSE'' is said way too fast (pig aint even there) :P

I might disagree that this is the best event ever, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. ROller beetle was a pretty well thought out, and well exectued mini game. The quests were interesting, and fun. And the masks are awesome.
All in all this was a great event, but IMHO I really had a blast with Wintersday 06.
Still BIG THANKS TO ANET for celebrating the year of the pig. :)

Agree with you all, Great event, too bad it doesn't last very long (maybe it's better that way). Anyway, no doubt it's among the best events ever!

Wow thanks to this event I made over 50k, doing quest, sellin mini pets, it was great! It seemed like everyone wanted a mini pig so I was happy to oblige :)

They should make the Rollerbeetle racing a permanent in-game feature. As the course was somewhere in the Battle Isles, they can stick the entry NPC at the Temple of Balthazar.

I don't think Rollerbeetle should be permanent since it's just a fun thing they added for the event. It would get boring real fast and i dont think many people would go after a month or so.
A guildie of mine is in the top 100 so I wanna see what they get.

I agree...Was a very fun event with neat things involved.
What was really great was all the people who bought mini pigs for ungodly amounts of gold only to find out they could have got one for free on the last day. LOL!!!!

Yeah it was fun with the rollerbeetle racing and all. I'm sure i would of had more fun if i had factions because it was really depressing not being to get the tokens fast enough and all.

The rollerbeetle racing was a blast! And the first festival game that I could actually do well at. I guess all those hours of Mario Kart DS with my daughter paid off. :-p

i agree that this event is the best ever
3 reasons:
1. minipet prize
2. ingredients made people interact with one another as 1 big team
3. beetle race ( wishing that it wont stop or doing a pvp racing arena with your professions for balthasar pts and racer title ^^)
im soOooOoOooooOooOo proud of myself because i could contribute to the ppl of the district where i was because i managed to farm ALL of those ingredients and made sure that every1 in this district got a minipig ^^

I agree, great event, although I still prefer Halloween for some odd reason (maybe because I find it extremely hard to leave LA because it looks so much better than normal)
