lol somebody picked up Gaile's festival mask by accident or not :S she was mad about it O_O probably some 11 year old kid has it and now feels like god or something...anyways, i hope she finds it soon because i'm so sure that somebody will post on a fansite "OMG I GOT I GOT IT" and then gives it back, or if not, admin powers ftw...^^

lmao we'll see Gaile Grey's mask in the high end auction on guru in like 2-3 day XD would be fun ^^ anyway dont know why she should be mad <.< just wait next shot then she'll have her mask, or just ask her dev friends

True, reading some posts regarding scamming & stealing, she dropped it, so if she dropped it and someone else picks it up, its not against the rules, and if the other person happens to prize it so much, then its up to his/her manners to give it back, which ofcourse, did not happen.
Besides, what does he want to do? he cant sell it for more, i mean, even i can just sell my mask claiming its from Gaile...

masks are customized so it should have something like customized to gaile gray on it.

Ah... forgot about that one yeah, still, i find it rather useless, but i always thought things like that are useless, i mean some people pay a million dollars just to own the sofa were (according to the seller) Elvis sat on... i don't see the benefit nor special thing about it.
Ah well, some people probably get aroused by the fact they have something ''precious'' that belongs to someone more important then them.

Well, while I would definitely have given it back, this guy is technically following the rules. According to Anet, when a drop doesn't get picked up for more than 10 minutes, it's fair game for anyone. We've seen plenty of posts about people complaining about this very thing, and getting replies from support saying there is nothing they can do. If he gets banned for it, that isn't right. Personally, if they can do it, I think it'd be best if the mask just disappears from his inventory sometime. Because as much as I'd like to see that guy banned, he isn't technically breaking any rules. Though he is being quite obnoxious about it, with his talk of selling first the mask, then selling his IGN, then trying to get people to pay to see it deleted.

i just read through all 7 pages of the auction, and the guy has people bidding for the mask(one guy to give it back), another to have the mask deleted, and if he doesn't get ecto=600k, then the mask is toast(he deletes it), so no matter what it won't be in his hands for much longer, even tho the thread is locked

Really a shame, but its also easily to find his IGN for the mods, *cough* they can probably summon ecto's from beyond, make an offer he can't refuse, and he will reveal his ''true'' form, and then his fate will be decided :P

Yeah so? Im sorry but her being Gaile Gray doesnt make her stand above the game mechanics.
lol..
But seriously.. if that happened to anyone else (not famous) then everyone would have said that it was her own fault.. she shouldnt have dropped it, or let it lay there so long (whatever made it happen). If the guy could pick it up then he has done nothing wrong and nothing illegal. :S
Still i think any decent person should and would give it back especially in the case of a customized mask.

Just to add my 2 cents...
When i got my first mask, i noticed some people had their masks on the ground in town cuz i assume their inventory was full at the moment. Now lets think this over. Normal items can not be dropped in town out of the inventory, only in explorable areas, so if her mask was really on the ground, then she didnt do it willingly. 2nd, when i noticed a few masks were on the ground, they were "grayed" out like they are in explorable areas for someone else and you cant pick them up. that little red warning pops up saying this item is reserved for someone else. So i dont really see how this guy could have picked up her mask. it isnt possible. And i dont really see gaile leaving her mask on the ground longer than the 10 minute timer without deleting some item in her inventory to make room for her mask, that just doesnt make sense.

I think she suffered from a case some of us gamers know as, Brain-LAG, its a condition that randomly happens and your brain will respond slower than reality, thus making it easy to miss out on things since they fly past way to fast.

I remember reading that she was having someone hold onto her piggy while she went to go buy bags. She seemed a little flustered that her main character didn't have any bags equipped. So if that's the case then I'm sure Gaile either had someone hold onto her mask or left it on the ground while she went to go purchase some like she said she was going to. Like some others I really don't see how it can take 10 minutes to mosey a few feet to a merchant for some bags but at the same time I could understand it since she did have her duty of talking to the public and answering questions. That's the only way I can see it taking that long.
