Recently I've been investing alot time in the Heroes Battle Island on the PvP map. Trying to get my commander title.
One day, my next challenger, typed the words
roll?
At the time I didnt know what this meant. So I said
Eh?
He replied.
Roll Noob!
Instead I charged out of my area (bypassing all the shrines) and attacked him. As soon as I wiped out his team I used Olias to summon minions. This went on for a couple minutes. He got mad and said somethings. Blah Blah. Noob this. noob that.
Seconds later, the words Flawlessy Victor appeared on my screen.
And before he left, I typed
"Thats how I roll! Hahahaa"
Now for the Roll thing. If you type /roll at the begining of a match in Heroes Battle. This is like rolling a dice. When the other person rolls, his number is entered. I think the person with the lower number wins (not sure). And therefore wins the match without fighting. Haven't tried it yet. And not everybody knows about it. You might get only onoe person asking you for this once every week.

its a trick to get to win, so u type /roll5 and if the opponet has 6then you have to leave.
I hate it can't they just do a litle bit of effort to play and win

The person with the lower number loses, and this method is essentially just used for people going for the title. It reduces a 10 minute match to a 30 second match, and you have a 50/50 chance of winning. It's definitely cheating if you ask me, and I don't understand why you'd be PvPing just for a title, I think it's fun. Though I haven't done hero battles yet, since I like to play with real people more when doing PvP.

*cough* erm easy way to do it, get guildies and allies, do it, and when you meet one another, one decides to leave, that way everyone can get points ^^

is this really a rule or is this made up by noobs going for commander title the easy way ? ?
cause if it is really a rule, Anet has made some weird rules when it comes to hero battles 0.o

I looked at my Hero Window, and I got a loonnnnggg way to go before I get the title.
As for my gladitor title, I pretty much gave up on that. I get as far as 5 or 8 consective wins and then pow back to number one!
Im taking a breaking from pvp and working on my drunkard title. I spent 10 minutes in pre-searing collecting 4 hunters ale. And I only get intoxicated for only 2 minutes!!! Thats 998 more minutes to go!
Sheesh, Guild wArs sometimes make it so hard to get a title. I tried getting the unlucky title by purposing losing all the games in the new years event. no luck, you have to lose alot of games to get it, alot. sheesh.

Commander title is 125 points, which is quite a few. And they're not that short, and it's not that much fun either IMO. PvP is a team game...encouraging use of heroes is...imo not such a good thing. People use the /roll to save time, and I can't say I totally blame them, but I wouldn't do it myself. The advantage of getting this title is so that you can get an increase on your maximum Balthazaar faction, that's pretty much it.

You can get the lucky and unlucky title like most people do by buying a truckload of tickets when the boardwalk is open and parking you character (even while AFK or doing something else) on one of the rings in the ring games. It can be time consuming and expensive even doing that, but I was able to get level 2 of unlucky during the last even (10,000 games of chance lost :))

You unlock Hero Battles in PvE by earning 3 heroes, or by unlocking 3 heroes in PvP with Balthazaar faction.

Since when is Hero Arena rolling is soncidered a cheat ?
It's just what people do to cut off time wasting to grind every point.

Well...that's very simple. If you roll your way to Commander title, then you haven't earnt it. You got it through laziness and luck. Neither of these show any kind of skill.

Since when did Commander title prove any kind of skill anyway? Still, even if the /roll thing never happened, it wouldn't prove skill.

I have the Pvp Map Mostly Unlocked, see my profile for the Map showing the different isles. And yes you do need NightFalls to unlock the Island.

Using /roll in Hero Battle is being abused.
Roll was added to fix problems between equal teams.
In HB it can't be, cause 20 = wins.
But for HA, in Underworld for example, when 2 teams played like 10 minutes and nobody dropped, most conversations are like this:
Player 1 Red: roll 100?
Player 2 Blue: Sure
Player 1 Red has rolled 20 of 100.
Player 2 Blue has rolled 40 of 1OO.
Meaning Blue teams wins, and Red has to resign.

It's just another way of people getting what they want with no effort or time invested. Nothing more, nothing less. They believe that the end justifies the means and they disregard everything else. I want it now but don't want to do what it takes to get it.
Skill or no skill, it's just a title so why go that way? I prefer my titles as earned through time and effort.

There was one time that we did a roll, it was in RA and it had been going for 30 minutes not stop attacking both teams were deadlocked so we /roll ed

I would do the roll thing if someone handed me 5 plat to do it first. If not it's on and they will get served. I take pride in sitting up my heroes and if they are not prepared then no title for them.
Now that being said I may get my butt kicked in Hero battle but I will not submit to a /roll command without getting paid to do it. If i get called a noob that is fine. If they want to report me to Anet that is fine too. I do not talk to anyone before or after pvp battles and don't intend on starting.
And yes I have all heroes unlocked including Razah. So take your /roll command and put it with either loss or victory.
