this monring i played guildwars and everything worked fine.now 2 hours later i try to log in i get error 011 Password incorrect.what could of happent in those 2 hours ?! so i got realy pissed of and sended a mail to NC and they replyed they would try to fix the prob. and still no result.if anyone has a idea to get my account back please leave ur comment. :)

send for another password. if they changed the email address both emails have to say they accept the changes.

I know how you feel. First things to make sure, caps lock, spelling and can you remember your password? Maybe if you tell me your IGN I can see if you are online and help you out a little.

If it says password incorrect, check for caps, type again, and if after so many tries, it still doesnt work, hit the ''Reset Password'' button, this will send an email to you were you get a new password assigned (i think, or you get to fill in your new one) I'd also say you get a PlayNC Account, that means even so if someone manages to get on your account, he/she can't change your password without knowing the one of your PlayNC account (which ofcourse should be a different one for obvious reasons)

i already tryd all of that.now i got some more mail from NC bot they wont set my account back to yester for some strange reason

They never do reset your account to before you got jacked.
I had a friend who lost virtually everything; all the gold, salvaged armor on all the chars, took the materials(ecto & shards) & dyes, removed everyone from the friends list and left the guild he was in. They even sold his pet on the ranger. Just left the nude chars.
Sorry if when you get your account back and this has happen. Hopefully you just have an error in one of your key strokes while putting in your pass.

Now this guy is realy ******* with me.i got 2 account (one is my brothers but he doens't play anymore) and i got banned on this one.i never loggedon to this account this day!!!i have to wait 333 HOURS FFS !! this was it.i stop playing. i totaly had it.!! Goodbye Guildwars for me

That one too got hacked or is it your fault in the matter???
I Understand your pissed-off-o-meter is across the charts, but obviously someone got your password, or you downloaded something bad with a keylogger >,,..,,<

Only thing you can do is get with Tech support. Since you reported the Hijack BEFORE the ban, they should have a record of it and can un-ban the account once you get it back into your control. For Passwords, don't use anything simple, and change it every now and then. You'll probably want to change the password on your e-mail BEFORE resetting your GW password. That way, if the person had access to your e-mail account, they can't get the NEW password.

In guildwars you cannot get hacked, but people can figure out your password in various ways... ex: keyloggers. I used to have these, and they were annoying, so I found a random thing on a random website, and copied, and pasted it on notepad... Keyloggers can tell what websites you go to, and what you type, but they cannot tell what you copied, which left me all the time in the world to get rid of it... :D

So... if i'd have my pass on a notepad file, and each startup CTRL+C it? Keyloggers wouldn't detect it? I never had that stuff though, but i find it an amusing thought they actually CAN'T register that :P

a similar situation happened to my friend his password and email were changed he emailed anet about it and later they told him if he had a scan of his CD key and guild wars case they would allow him to reregister his acount so dont give up hope maybe theyll give you an oppertunity like that.

yowch that hurts if I did my math correctly that was about 2 weeks? is there anybody in game that you met before that you think might've done this? like anybody that seems kind of sneaky or trys to talk about this kind of stuff a lot

I'm using a keylogger called 'Actual Spy' to monitor user input errors within a system. It's a totally legal commercial application so go Google and check it out.
Point is that it logs keystrokes, web site access, applications AND the clipboard per application ie. anything the user copies.
Copy and paste will not protect your password but you can do this with your shortcut:
"D:\games\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -password=yourpasswordhere
Obviously your path will be different but all you need to do is tack your password on the end of the shortcut. This is an auto login and although it saves time it will let anyone who uses your PC get onto your GW account and if they look at the shortcut properties they can see your password plain as day.
Best bet it to check for viruses etc tho, stay clean and you won't have any problems.

like i said.i didn't visit any unusual site's and didn't download anything to.so how the hell did i get a keylogger on my computer ?
uhm..i cant realy prove it is my account .i trown away the Guildwars boxes with the keys in it :S

Sounds like a problem i had once.
I don't actually know my own password I just know how to type it. So one day I kept getting a password incorrect and I tried everything. Then I found out my hands were 1 key over too far. Another time was when my left hand was sore and for the entire day my hand wouldn't type properally.
Made for another forum I go on, Just felt the need to do something with this sig.

Lol. no that isn't it.i opent notepad and typed the password to see i typed it correct and then i tryed again and i still didn't work.

You never toss your keys for games. This is your only proof of ownership of a true copy. It is like buying a car and tossing the registration.
GW has less of a need to hang onto them then other games, esp other MMOs.
Did you by chance piss off your brother?
Did you use the same email and password to register for website?

Theres 4 ways this could happen :D .
1) somebody who knows your email adress and some of your favourite passwords ( my brother, my freind and my girlfreind all know some of my favourite passwords ).
2) like you say a keylogger, this is unlikely, unless the keylogger is specifically set up to capture guild wars information.
When the keylogger records information it is of the keybuffer,
so your email address and password, assuming you type in your email address every time.
If the keylogger is clever, it will record the name of the program your running.
3) Brute Force. The simplest way of hacking but the most ntime consuming.
Somebody with a guild wars client has software which types in random email addesses and passwords.
This is very unlikely to work unless you have a real email address in the first place.
4) server hacks, the most illegal hacks, an the most difficult, im not even sure how this is done.
Another possibility is some data on the server corrupted with your password in, this can happen.
As you say the same account was then used for racial abuse, it seems like somebody either deliberatly targeted you, or just got the account and disabled it for a laugh.

nothing, you threw out any proof that the game is yours. I believe you but to Anet you might be the hacker. CD keys are VERY important. sorry dude, you live you learn i guess. too bad it happened that way.

If you don't have that anymore, then theres no hope on getting your accounts back, hate Guild Wars for that matter, but you threw them away, so wether or not your going to blaim AMPers, Guild Wars, or anyone else for that matter, in the end its yours alone to blaim, you seen it yourself in the Email, and you threw the codes away :/
Just like registrations and such, you got to keep on those, even if they seem to never be used in your life, just like now, your still going to need them.
