i can't really decide what i want to be when i start playing CoV again. I did'nt like the brute because all i really found was a lame excuse for a tank. the dom is way to complicated for me. And the mastermind really took WAY too long to set up pets so that it got boring to play. This leaves me with either the stalker or the corrupter. i want to play some form of Stalker with high burst damage and high solo capability. i dont like having to rely on a team if teams dont want me What should i choose? next is the Corrupter. I want a ?/Kin corrupter and i was thinking of Dark or Gun because the fit my character concept well. i cant decide between gun (more AoE damage) or Dark (Massive Debuffs) which is more needed by teems? i like full auto becuase it doesnt sap all ur end, but which is more needed by teams? i think Full Auto +fulcrum shift could be fun, but so could Blackout+fullcrum shift

This isn't a question anyone can answer for you. Just play all the ATs until at least level 10. By then you'll know whether or not you like them or not I'm sure.
I can say one thing though, it only take 30 seconds to summon and both your pets with BOTH upgrades. If 30 seconds is too long, then yeah really, don't play a Mastermind....

i also dont like the MM because it feels like im watching rather than playing.
Which stalker build is best for soloing?
Which Corr primary is most wanted in teams?

Playing a Stalker is a very different experience, especially when soloing. My MA/Nin is level 22 with 85 percent of play time soloing. When I say different I mean that you'll have to learn different strategies of play. When you have backup you're allowed more room for error, but when your by youself you have to rely on different tactics. Though the Stalker is a bit complex in learning how to effectively solo they are one of the most fun archetypes to play, IMHO.

I cant talk about Stalkers as I dont really play melee AT's. I do find Brutes nice after trying a couple of Builds though.
As far as Corruptor builds that are desired for teaming and late game content; go with anything Radiation or Dark in any combination and you will be well set for Team invites. Other good Secondary Sets are Kinetics, Thermal and Ice. BUT the main draw of a Corruptor is for Heals and Debuffs, and the Radiation and Dark debuffs are the 'desired' powers. Lingering Radiation will slow/prevent Regen on GM's and AV's, so that is always good.
All that is not to say that any other build is 'gimped' or 'no good', but the playerbase is limited by their prejudices towards Heals and Debuffs/Buffs. Just look at City of Heroes boards and forums, and the way Defenders are tired of being constantly asked; 'R U HE4LOR?'.

From what I've seen and played, both do extremely well soloing and teaming. Regen keeps you alive by keeping your health bar up, while SR makes it so they can't hit you in the first place (once you get SOs that is). Since this is for a stalker, I suggest going for SR. Or, you could play both for a bit and see which one you like better.
