I believe I've seen a few people running around with arachnos style helmets... is there a special mission that rewards this costume piece or have a missed it already?

At this point, you've missed it. Those helmets were part of a pre-order for CoV prior to it's release.
There were several different costume selections you could have received during the pre-order, based on the store you purchased your copy from, and it is not known whether or not they will include those items in future releases.

Not sure but i think you can check they Plaync store you might be able to buy it for there its just an idea not sure if you can or not something i'll go check on for ya

Thanks guys, I'm sure it will be one of the costume selections you can build with Issue 9's invention system. Was just curious for a character I was thinking of, guess he'll go helmetless til' then.

I would buy costume parts in a heart beat. I'd buy the badges I can never get because I didn't play at a certain time too. Of course they would have to be really cheap though....

You can't buy them at the PlayNC store. They were from the pre-order copies of CoH. they are gone for good, unless the Devs add them as Vet Rewards, which they said they would not already....

Don't get your hopes up. I can almost guarantee you that those will not be inventable items. I don't know this for a fact, but I can say that from what I've seen and read it's more likely these will not ever be released again unless the Devs do what they did with the prestige sprints. I doubt it'll be a veteran reward and I'm pretty sure it won't be inventable. So that doesn't leave us with very much to go on as to how it will be released if ever. So, don't get your hopes up, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. Not until they release another box set I'm guessing. That way they can get a bunch of people to pre-order that to get some special new-fangled 'thang' before pissing off all the people who pre-ordered villains. And even then it won't be till long after that box goes out. It's half marketing, half logistics, half randomness.

I was talking about badges like Scrooge Jet Setter and Reveler. Badges for logging in long before I ever played the game.
I wish I could ask for you help. I'm on Triumph and had to get 95% or so of my badges solo.

I herd in issue 9 that there will be a sore that you can sell your salvage insp ect to gte costume pieces

Those are the two articles on I9 available currently on the official page.
But yes, you'll be able to craft costume parts and Enhancements with the use of the Invention System, which will use Salvage (Paragonwiki's partial list) as the components for doing so.

I got the one on my main acct by pre-order, got my second on Ebay. there was a guy on e-bay selling em for about $4. he e-mails you the upgrade code (pay more if you want the box which you dont need) I looked a couple months ago and he still had some (musta had boxes of em) keep in mind there are 4 helmets, his are the "dark green" looking ones and only 1 helm per acct. So there may still be a chance to buy one..
