| Nothing 2 Lose 1v1 tourney thread |

UPDATE: FINAL LIST OF PLAYERS AND GROUPS
Here's groups and schedule order:
group 1:
1.AofH
2.Edge
3.dawgpound
4.feuer
group 2:
1.lavak3
2.oli
3.stik
4.bloodslash
1-2, 3-4
1-3, 2-4
1-4, 2-3
Here's the format:
Friday starting at 8EST
--2 groups of 4 will round-robin in 2 15-minute maps (achilles and altenale105)
--top in each group advances along with 2 wildcards, based on map wins 1st then total margin of victory
--those 4 play single-elim on a 3-map basis where top group finisher gets 1st map pick, wild card gets 2nd, and tiebreaker is determined by me. Here's how this will work: I randomly chose an order of priority for the 4 maps, so of the 2 maps that are left after the players have chosen theirs, the higher of the 2 remaining will be played as tiebreaker. This gives the players more choice in the matter. Here's the map priority for semi finals:
1) achilles
2) meitak
3) altena
4) campgrounds
--winners move on to grand finals
Saturday starting around 3-4pm EST (right before the invitational)
--2 finalists play just like semis... best of 3, order of maps shouldn't matter too much to worry about but we'll say that whoever won their semi by the biggest margin gets it in the case of an argument

edit: here's a list of servers that are planned to be running the new maps and are open for being used for the side tourney, this way if anyone wants to check pings ahead of time (or even just practice the maps) you know where to look ;)

by the way both of these new maps achilles and altena are on stonergrove right now if anyone wants to try them online

btw this has been moved to saturday night and there's 2 options:
1) if we can pull 8 people it'll run similarly to the invitational
2) if we can't round up 8 who want to do this, we'll just grab 5 or however many and play round robin, using 2 maps per round and total point differential as tiebreaker if map wins doesn't give 2 clear finalists
I'm still working on deciding on a 3rd map...
BTW Cuzkey said he'd play in this so he's added.

OK guys we have a couple options to decide on here:
1) do this thing at the same time as the invite
2) do it the night before (friday), and do the finals on saturday right before the invitational starts (so 3-4pm EST)
Personally I can make time either way, I just need to know what's best for everyone else.
BTW anyone who's new signing up below this, give your comments if 1 is good for you but the other isn't, etc.

Cool, only 1 spot left!
FYI guys the other maps included will be DM-Campgrounds2004-G1E and CBP2-Meitak from CBP2 Vol 2 which you can DL here in just zipped files or here in umod. The reasoning is this: most people know campgrounds enough that it's not like they will be lost, and meitak is such a simple map that it shouldn't take long to adjust even if you've never played it before.

Well originally it was gonna run concurrent with the invitational on sunday, but we moved that because of the super bowl, and then realized that finding servers might be an issue for this side tourney, so I think this is th best way to do it.
