I was thinking of starting a new guild that would be centered around alliance battles. For a fee, we would transfer faction to your guild so you could get closer to that shiny new town. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining/hiring some of us before I make the guild. The cost would be 1k/1000 Faction. Not all members have to play AB's all the time, but they should have faction on there account. It will be a Kurzick guild, but If you wish to hire some Luxon's, I might Start a Luxon Guild as well. All 4/5 of the earnings go to the guild. The rest is for the members to keep. Please reply with your ideas.

So you want us to hire you, so that u earn 1K for each 1000 faction points you donate? thats a stupid idea.

No we transfer the faction to your alliance, so you can get closer to a town, or w/e. If you really want to get a town, and seeing as how most of the top-end guilds are rich, it's not really that much of a price to pay.

I think I understand what your saying, your saying You ahve people in your guild. Guildies farm faction in alliance battles. You contact alliances who are cose to getting a town. Those alliances pay you to give them faction, as your members are either guested (don't know if this works for donating faction) or change guilds quickly to donate.
I see a few problems with this:
A.1k per 1000 faction is quite alot. To be competing for a town you need probs 1 mil or more. Even if your alliance farms half of it, what alliance would be willing to get 500k together (that could easily be scammed) to get a small town.
B.For it to be worthwhile to bigger alliances you would have to offer a very fast rate of return so that it is efficient. So maybe you would have to be "contracted" to keep an alliances faction up. The most efficient way to do this would be to build up the confidence of an alliance. Then get the alliance leader to pay your guild for the money they donate to the alliance with an agreement that after each donation and payment your guild cannot leave the alliance for 30 days.
C.Alliance battles even with their increased return rate are an inefficient way to farm faction.
D.For it to work for you as a farming guild you would need to find a LARGE number of very reliable members who are active and who you can trust.

I agree on that, especially ( D ) will be hard one to achieve, it sounds quite in a fragile position and although its nice to have the illusion the world is all happy with unicorns and rainbows, you will always be at risk of picking out the wrong person.

Yeah I know, maybe 750/1000 faction would be more fair. And ur right about the 500k faction towns, but some people are so rich (I'm looking at you all you 15k wearers) that they can afford that. And we'd have faction in reserve on all of our chars, half the money up front, half on completion of transfer. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested.

Well i did hear of an alliance leader who simply paid 5K for every member donating 5K, if you donated 10K you got 10K, simple, he/she had over all her accounts about 200 million gold (*cough* ebay *cough*) Ofcourse it sounds scammable, but when some people in our guild heard of it, we accepted their excuse that they went there to make some quick cash and come back, and he/she really did pay you if you donated, it was also less scammable since he watched over you as you donated faction (seeing the rate go up)
But i'd say any leader less then an Ebay gold buyer, or a person who has farmed 24/6 with one day of sleep is probably not in the mood for such a steep price, maybe in time you can give a favored alliance a bit of discount?
Because what your about to do seems like marketing, so getting ''discounts'' and all that stuff sounds good. Like, 5000 faction for 5K, or 10K faction for 8K :P
Just my 0.3 cents.

Gasp .3 cents! Jk, but those r some good ideas, I'd probably keep the guild small and go with the discounts thing. I just thought it would be a good way to get some money, have fun, and help out some other guild. Ty for the feedback!

yeah Welcome to GameAmp Windbringer Rawrzor! =) I agree it's a pretty good idea but 1k per 1000 faction is a lot on average I see people selling faction for like 3k for 5000 faction

Roger on that one.
Although at first glance the idea does sound good, it will require alot of work, and Guild Wars doesn't really seem to support a good ''system'' on how this could work, ofcourse, the man with the plan, probably has thought it out, i hope?
Anyways, good luck with whatever would happen, probably quite some bumps in the road, but that shouldn't stop you.
