Today, while in RA, I happened to be fighting a couple of assassins. As a warrior, I managed to kill the both of them with Gladiator's Defense. All of my team had left and I was the last one standing. I lost, of course. As the timer was counting down to leave the match, one of the assassins calls me a noob.
After I had left the arena, he PMs me stating that, as a warrior, I'm not allowed to use Gladiator's Defense and should only use attack skills.
I tell him that I'm allowed to use whatever build I want and that warriors aren't necessarily damage dealers. He then goes silent for a minute, sets his status to offline, and continues to insult the way I play my warrior, even though I killed him several times.
I just find it funny how some people can be so immature...I guess it's because they're behind their PC screen they think they can act however they want.
Anyway...just thought I'd share my experience. :P

same thing happened to me with my touch ranger
so what if it is a "noob build" it is still a build and im allowed to use it

They were probably mad that their cookie-cutter build couldn't account for your well thought out counters like yours.

I've had people do the same thing with the savannah heat build I used and my modified bull's charge (I call it shocksword) warrior.
Some people think that if they die quick or by a spike that the people against them are cheating somehow. When I run a Wanderlust support heal build I get called a spirit spammer... when I'm healing people while sacrificing my spirits. Sure I have wanderlust there, but it's so I can stand still and not be bothered by pesky warriors or assassins who think they're all that and try to jump me.
You can't help it though in PvP you'll get called a n00b or a cheater inevitably... people just don't like losing.
Hell i've been called a N00b by a W/Mo in PvP (With my superior W/E) while I tripled the aomount of kills he got. (and rezzed him twice xD)
I can't say I'm not guilty of calling people on. Eevry time I run a tainted flames Ranger... or for a matter of fact any offensive build I call out every W/Mo I see... dimolish them... then move on :D..
My favorite thing to do is to run my own modified illusion build. Ineptitude clumsiness, backfire, empathy and a bunch of others I can't remember because I'ma little tipsy :D. I love watching sins and warriors try to attack then get owned by about 103 dmg are blinded an interrupted.... then like fools they don't read their hexes and attack again....
It's rather entertaining.
Oh well some people never learn xD

I dont see really the reason why u posted this. I have been playing RA/TA several times a day for some time now. There is always going to be whining bitches like that was no matter what u do, just live with it. you always have that do not disturp button

yeah I made this build that can take quite a chunk of health per hit without any attack boosts and I was shooting at people running by in Aspenwood and they were screaming "NOOB! GET YOUR OWN BUILD!" hilarious how some people react and then I saw somebody using the same build the next day in Aspenwood =(

But you seriously have to laugh at that sin who thinks all Warriors have to go all damage. Next he'll be telling you all warriors have to use Frenzy + Healing sig.
Personally, I like the people who call everyone noobs at the begining of the match. That way you can cram their words(and your weapon of choice) down their pie hole as you beat the crap out of them, or depending on profession and skill choice, get them to beat the crap out of themselves.

I once dueled an warrior with a big ego with my hydromancer. After killing him with ease, not even having lost one hitpoint, he starts complaining that I shouldnt use Ice Prison, Blurred Vision or even Mist Form on him because thats unfair and ele's dont do that... He knew I was using water and every warrior should know that they can't kill a hydromancer that easely but he still wanted to take me on...
When I took him on with my assassin, he ran into a bunch of footmen when I had almost killed him. He thought that was perfectly fair |-(. Suuuuuure...

I made a new hammer build KD build, ?and was trying it out. My team in RA told me to charge, which I did. They then abandoned me in the enemy lines, until I retreated. What's up with that? It's just like people who tell me I'm a noob mm, even though I'm always the last one standing, or this one person who cussed his head of at me because I left a group... not during a mission, but after the mission ended in a town! What's up?

EDIT: although I really don't like touchers, because EVERYBODY uses the stinking build. I always see people doing this, and most of them (I say most) people just use it because they're lazy, and can't think of new builds. And, I once had a tank tell me mm's were easy to play. Tank's aren't? just sayin.

I get idiots laughing at me in RA when i charge at them with my paragon wielding a scythe. They usually stop when i trow out a critical hit causing about 60-70 dmg every 2 hits.
The same happens when i charge in with my ritualist wielding daggers, once again the laughs stop when i do about 50 - 60 damage per hit against warriors, death blossom does about 80-90 damage x 2 per hit against fleshies.
I guess people just don't know to expect the unexpected and when they get the unexpected, they don't like it.

ok just pionted out the key facts there. that no matter how good resurect in pve is, it SUCKS in pvp (unless ur a rezzmer or use lively was naomei).
my worst case of noob-itis was when i faced this touch spike in HA. very funny. we pummeled them very easily and then they called us n00bs for running R-Spike.

Don't you just love to see the guy you just killed 3 times in a row running away from you in AB tho? You pick on them because they were being a gobby *Kittenz* at the start and they end up spending the whole match avoiding you and yelling n00b!

What I hate is when people blame their team for their mistakes... like in RA or AB, I.E., a mesmer gets blamed for not healing people, even thought they were pressure.

When playing my ele in AB, I've been called a noob by a toucher for using Firestorm. Just to clarify:
a) this just after it got a nice buff
b) We were in Kaanai Canyon. Firestorm rocks for taking out all the Luxon NPC's on the wall round the centre shrines. Killing those things are incredibly helpful to your team, let me tell you ^^

I remember using an E/Me in Aspenwood as a Geomancer. This stupid necro decided to call me a noob because of no elite (not enough balth factions darnit!), he quietly left after being killed 6 or 7 times...by me
'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

I meant I rezzed him twice with the signet.... we went a couple of rounds because we had a decent team other than the W/Mo I know resurrect blows hard nuts in PvP, I've insta-died my fair share of times by it.
Rezzing is a critical part of RA, matches can be won or lost by a good rez or two. I feel so bad when I don't notice people on my team die so quick and then I'm the last one standing... I feel selfish :'( .
I usually attach rez chant to the back of my mesmer which has won me countless matches because our team kept getting up without worry.
People who don't bring rez..... really REALLY anger me.... then you get people who say rez is useless xD. Oh well I'll deal with it.

All of the stories are really funny! Its almost like people that think they know everythin get pwned by a self build everytime them they have to pull the "noob" card.
Also, about a mesmer getting blamed for losing. I feel the same way when people blame my sin for attacking anything since sins are so weak apparently. Except for when i out tank some Wammos for some wierd reason.
I also think its funny in Ascalon Arena when i get called a noob for using riposite (even though i beat them), or if some1 calls a cheater b/c they think i downloaded some program to keep me from getting knocked down! Too bad they didnt pay attention when i used dolyak signet.

people should be more like me. when i get totally owned really fast i simply congradulate the person and tell them that they are pretty good. i mean they obviously put alot of thought into there builds so i think calling them a noob really doesnt make sence especially when i just got owned by them lol.

I started using a conditioning build (which a few ppl not just me proaly though it up) and in AB ppl started calling me a noob for using a cheap build. A few weeks later i go into Ab and i see people using the same build as i wa, with some changes (mending touch instead of my purge) They go at me, i kill still even though they using the same build (almost) they get extremely mad at me, saying i cheat. and I go "no i know how to play the build," i hve been using it longer. They go bulistic on me saying it only been out for a few days and they used it when it came out.

LOL, i get ppl like that all the time i belive ive even posted one saying how one guy pm'ed me saying he was gona report me because i casted resurrect too fast (saying he was gonna report me for using modifiers to the game to reduce cast time) on my Me/Mo..can you wonder why i casted it that fast?? Ahem FC?? lol But ppl that complain like that and that situation where you owned them with glads def, they are just sore losers and are too cowedly to admit that you pwned them with a good build.
