Kheldians

My Fiance is Haveing trouble on what she wants,Peacebringer or Warshade.She refuses to read the Guide I wrote since it's "too long".She wants to hear YOUR Opinions on the 2 and she'll decided then.

PB = scrapper, WS = controller. Is that short enough for her? lol Serious, if you want to stand back and support and hold go WS, if you want to scrap/tank go PB.

My 2 cents worth. My WS is higher than my PB. He is much tougher to play though than my PB, less fun too, IMO. My playstyle has always been toward the damage producing type. I just cant stay out of the fray :D. For me the PB is more fun. But like Lord says, depends on her playstayle. And seriously, make her sit down and read that guide. It has been very helpful in explaining a lot of different abilities of each type to me.

My personal preference is Peacebringer. I just think if you are gonna get an Epic AT you want an uber killing machine. In my opinion PB's are more in that vein than WS's.

I never got far enough into the levels to like playing a PB, too boring. But I love playing my WS. Drain some HP off of your enemies to boost your damage with the 2 Mires, then Wipes them all out with the Nova form, or take out one, then use its corpse to blow up everything near it. I love playing it when I can.

Cool beans. And no prob on teh costuem, thats teh part all the girls like. They get to play dress up!! lol Set her up on Triumph or Guardian. Triumph of course for all the gameampers and a few of us kinder souls are on Guardian. We'll give her a hand when we are on.

I have eseveral of each. I prefer the PB's my 35 absolutely rocks. He has 3 awesome melee attacks, plus I think about 5-6 blasts, and is really fun to play. But to be honest that didn;t really happen till at least level 25 or so. They are very powerful when they get up into the levels.

I have 2 WS's one is 16 and the other is 11. I have to force myself to play them. The lack of flight really bothers me on them, and the lack of melee atacks kind of ices the cake for me. I will play the one at 16, he's only about a month old, and will get him up into the 30's at least. But the PB suits my close ranged fighting style.

Tell her to make one of each, put them on the same server, figure out a nameing scheme that compliments the PB/WS alts. Play each up 1 lvl, then change & play the other up a lvl.

It's really too subjective a subject to tell someone else what build is best, my alltime favorite build, ( & I've done a LOT of them), is a PB Blaster/Tank, (Squid/Lobster), which fits my style of fighting tactics like a glove. I only use the human form to augment healing or if I'm in a situation where a Nuke attack seems profitable. Swaping forms multiple times has never been a problem for me. I like haveing the options.

Try several builds & take your time, it's really the only way you'r going to find what fits best for you.

My opinions are summed up in the guide I wrote here. Yes, I know, she won't read it any more than she would the later guide you wrote. But it's there anyway. I have always said human form is the way to go. When teaming cosmic balance is what makes the PB death on wheels. Unfortunately human form isn't good until mid 20's. The way i played was I used squid form until I was into my 20's, and spent all the slots and such on human form powers, relying on the squids inherent powers until then. Using slots and enhancements, i boosted my human form blasts up until they matched my squid blasts in power and range and accuracy. That way once I went human I didn't miss squid at all. And with that and the shields and cosmic balance, once I hit 26 or so squid form was useless. In my opinion, thats the way to go on a PB.

There are good points and bad points to both types. All human is a little more sturdy to start out with and then later it gets rolling. Having the squid does monster damage but if you are solo good luck. The lobster I cant tell you anything yet because I havent got my PB that high.

Oh and I hate warshades for one simple reason. I hate tp as a travel power. I love the concept and everything about warshades. Just had actually using them. I am hoping I will grow to like them.

Having flight at level one with a PB ROCKS!!!!
Just wish they werent so squishy to start off with when going solo.

I love my PB. He's only around 25, but the melee attacks are devastating, and the blasts aren't too bad either. I was going to go all human, but after the toggle dropping started I decided to get the lobster, which has some decent melee attacks of its own.

I only have one WS, and I never got him past the early levels, primarily because I hate TP. Lack of melee attacks didn't appeal to me either.

I don't have a lot of experience with Khelds, however, in my opinion, Peacebringers are the easiest to deal a crapload of damage with. Warshades seem to take a little more time to "come into their own".

However, not to play Devil's Advocate or anything, but since she's new to the game, perhaps it would be better for her to start with one of the original 5 ATs to get used to playing before delving into the more complicated Epic ATs.

Scrappers and Blasters are really one of the best places to start in the game. Their roles are pretty straight forward from the get-go.

My Warshade had no travel problems from the start, even though there was no flight (until Level 6 Nova form) you really don't need travel powers seeing as you can get to level 6 rather quickly without them.

Unless your into Asthetics, if you choose to have Wings then for asthetic purposes it makes sense to have a PB, although when I started my PB I found that the inherent Fly ability sucked up endurance and made it risky to fight while airborne. At least till you reach level 10 and choose (Combat Flight.)

Keep in mind that if you choose Peacebringer you will be unable to chose "Teleport" as a pool power and as a Warshade you will be unable to choose "Fly" as a pool power, this might not sound like much but TP friend and TP Foe can come in real handy sometimes.

I would have to agree with Anachron here, lack of TP friend does suck bigtime. However I also hate TP as a travel power, so the choice was easy for me.

One other thing I want to say is although I prefer PB's, by no means am I saying that WS's can't pwn. It's just a different play style is all. A friend of mine started his WS the same time I started my PB and he got to 50 with it before I did. At times when I was drained of end after a fight he would just stand next to all the bodies, suck up end and health from them and move to the next bunch, all the while letting his pet do the damage and take the lumps. It really is the difference between scrapper and controller like play. It depends on which you prefer.
