Album Of The Year IMO
Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music then add this to your signature.
Nile is probably one of the best bands ever.

RE: 300!
Umm... yeah... NC-17 stands for No one under 17 permitted. It was essentially made to fill the gap between R and X, which used to be the next highest official rating. Since NC-17's conception, however, there have been no X rated movies, and the MPAA has basically obolished it, making NC-17 seem more like a replacement for X, rather than a half way point.
NC-17 movies are rare to come by, and are usually rated such for extreme nudity. X, on the other hand, once mostly used for violence, which is kind of funny, since R rated movies NOW contain more violence then the last X rated film I can think of: ROBOCOP.
ROBOCOP was put through the rating system numerous times before the MPAA granted it the R rating, making it a semi-legendary film by recieving the X rating three times. But now, and for the past few years, we have had the X rated version made available to us. First released as an unrated Criterion Collection DVD, and later in the Robocop Trilogy slim pack DVD set, Robocop, as it originally was has significantly more violence (blood/guts) in just a two minute timeframe... but the question has to be asked when we see movies nowadays... why don't films get NC-17 for violence?
I mean, surely some films lately have deserved it... and I can only think of one that was even threatened with it, and that was Saw II.
Blah, anyway... I talk alot, and often about nothing or something stupid, so I'm sorry for the long post.
It was cinematic GOLD I almost creamed my pants it was so beatiful. Not to mention the scores! OMG the music was amazing. Sadly, though it was the best movie I have seem in a long time, it boiled down to a guy meat and potato gore movie. I do love it though, but it will only attatch a certain demagraphic of people. To them I say you missed out on some sweet sweet action scenes.

Yeah, IMO the rating system can show favoritism/hatred, depending on director, etc. Case in point, the MPAA had originally given "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" an NC-17...because of language. Whereas the NC-17 was set aside as you explained. Meh, it's a joke anymore IMO....look at the stuff they throw into a PG-13 flick that should receive an R rating. Maybe I just delve too much into useless matters. But after another Frank Miller comic, Sin City (greatest comic-inspired flick EVER made..but haven't seen 300 yet) was made into a major motion picture, the director, Robert Rodriguez, was kicked outta the Director's Guild...if my memory serves me correctly, in which case, just shows that even Hollywood has a high-school click mentality...my $0.10
Oh, BTW, I'm about 97.53% sure "300" received an R-rating...hopefully I'll get to catch it this weekend and maybe pick-up the hardbound trade of the comics (pleasepleaseplease.)
it looks like it could be good, but imo it looks too much like troy, and that wasn't that great, it was all fight scenes and there needs to be some story to a film, imo
