Whats the BIG idea? 

So what is your big idea for ways to improve the game and keep everyone happy at the same time?

Peronally i would like a quest history log, so to see if i have missed out on any quests (couple of months ago i found a ascalon quest eeeek :p). Also if they add this feature maybe a new title will be in order?

Another one is a means of a holiday or minature storage, too add all your special items. Maybe a toy box? eh? :P

We know that a while back we had the Charr bag put into the game to help people working on LDOA (legendary defender of ascalon) but it takes months to get that title, so how could we speed it up? Well the main monsters you have to kill for that title is Charr and what they drop most frequently? Charr Carvings! Since they dont have a use in pre-searing why not add a special collector that in exchange for 250 Carvings he will give you one of the following;

- Expert Salvage Kit
- Scroll of Hunters/Adventurer/Rampagers
- Bag
- Rune of Holding


Thats all i can think of for now :D


So whats your BIG idea? :D

PS: Please dont mention an auction house :/

maybe tht u can buy more vaults for storage and tht u can name them.

like have one weapons and another for armor or somethin.

you can exchange charr carving for collectors items in piken square with plus mods against charr. If you arent' ridiculously rich or are just starting, the weapons you get from that collector help you a lot within the game. They also salvage into wooden planks which are a necessity for rangers and monks at the least.

You want those items to be available in pre searing for 250 charr carvings? This would only encourage power leveling in pre and people getting to too high a level before they leave making the game much too easy for new commers. (and possibly leaving them broke buying all that junk from experienced players)

The change I want is a total revamp of the elemental system.... and a lot of other things that need revamping. Which includes a description of which damage prevails against which and which classes are seseptable and resistant to which elemental damage.

If you read in the Guild War's prophecies lore book each god (I believe minus dwayna) has an elemntal attunement (an elementalist class that serves the god e.g. Balthezar and fire elementalists, Grenth and Water elementalists).

This would really amp up PvP with classes from each attunement being weak or strong against a certain element. Plus in PvE each class would have an advantage in certain areas.

I would also like to see a better description of holy, dark, and chaos damage and where they stand as to weakness/power against certain attuned enemies. We know that Holy damage does well against dark attuned creatures (FoW and UW) but what about dark and chaos damage?

Bascially the entire damage system blows nuts and I would like to see it revamped xD.

I'd like to see Holy, Dark, and Chaos hilts, strings and the like for melee classes. (we have all the other elements why not the other misc. damages in the game?)

I'd like to see the elementalist class revamped into different classes of mages, fire mage, earth mage, water mage, air mage; and their skills totally changed to make that viable. Each mage will be alotted one secondary element of your choosing in which no elite skills can be used from that element.

I'd like the necromancer completely removed and replaced with the Dark mage class and the Summoner class, possibly as well to be replaced with a totally revamped necromancer class.

I would like to see polearms for warriors, beast mastery required weapons and mods for rangers (maybe even expertise).

Dervish need to be nerfed, hardcore; or possibly removed from the game. Paragon need to be removed from the game or revamped and totally changed.

Paragon skills need to be more distinct, I can't freakin tell which one is which by looking at them; all you end up doing is spamming. If you don't believe me look at the skill list on Guild wiki, there is about 6 skills that look exactly the same, 3 of which are adjacent on the list. I'd like an indicator like that for weapon spells, enchants, hexes and conditions for chants and possibly shouts (which would cause my paragon to spam a whole lot less)

I'd like to see Prophecies armor able to accept insignia's from nightfall or possibly an armor vendor that sells you 15k prophecies armor blank in nightfall. I'd like a 15k version of knights armor.

I'd like to see a Light mage class (holy damage) because lets face it, the majority of the monk smiting skills aren't good enough to make an offensive character and you get yelled at for trying. Plus if you try and turn the monk into the light mage by adding skills they will be way too powerful.

I'd also like to see a limit put onthe number of heros and henchmen in a party (the number combined) because new players will find it hard to find a group especially if they are new to the area and woudl like someone else who knows what they are doign to lead the party (I'm talking about myself even I can't find a group anywhere anymore which has halted my factions and nightfall campaigns).

.... so basically.... throw the entire game out and make Guild Wars 2 completely revamping the systems...

(including a fighter class, alchemist and other rockin classes not mentioned above xD)

You seem to be incredibly fond of adding many more classes into the game. We have all heard rumours of a Guild Wars 2 after the release of GWEN but after everything you stated there would be around 16 classes if the devish and paragon were not removed.

Paragons are not spammers, they require alot of skill to play correctly especially when maintaining their specific finales etc and giving the entire party the correct boost.

Could you explain what the difference would be between a fighter class and the warrior we already have? Im at a loss to make any changes for a whole new warrior class.

With these amazing ideas you have, I would suggest for a big change to guildwars, that instead of having a major class, you have a sub class, like for warrior you would have fighter, polearm wielder etc etc, w/e floats your boat. Same would apply for your necro ideas, sub classes would be summoner and dark mage and then the traditional necromancer.

That would make more sense :-)

But they are not conditions you can apply they just stop your spells. The way it works now it wont work with Pestulice(sp), fragility or epidimic. That spell is a hex.

I was thinking more on the lines of a Air spell

Sonic Boom which deafen nearby foes for a time

or a tatics skills for warriors

Head Slap to deafen a foe.

or Tounge(sp) Rip for silence

Silence would work on spell casting not just shouts

Not exactaly, sure some people might have the same face/hair as your char but you run into people each time you play (maybe) that looks like your char, but i am all for hair dressers because i like change and your chars face+hair+hair color is basicaly like a stone tablet, stone tablets stay the same unless you carve a new stone tablet (remake your char =/), which isnt really like the real world =P because you never stay the same. Go hair dressers!

i would like a feature were u have a picture of yourself similar to the pvp armor system but instead have a list of every armor in the game for your profession. you could then see what the armor looks like with different colors and different combinations before buying it. this would be great because u wouldnt have to spend so much money and find out that u dont like it.

thats actualy not a bad idea i hate buying 15k sets and it looks fine in the front (15k luxon) but looks bad in the back :( so then i never wear that set D:<

I don't see why. Unless you set a dervish up for tanking they are rather fragile. I can kill them solo in PvP with my ranger and sin.



I would like to see a BM required weapon, even if its max damage range is something like a dagger's or whatnot.

I'd really like something of a pet kennel. I'm rather fond of my spider, but sometimes I come across a tamable creature I would also like(Reef Lurker, Jahai Rat, etc), but there's no way I will get rid of my spider. They could make a dropdown list like they have for Heroes, then you could select from your Melandru's Stalker, Jahai Rat, Black Widow, Reef Lurker, etc...

Mesmers need PvE buffs or PvE needs reworking.

Reading an article on Guru about the Current state of mesmers, and I found myself agreeing to just about everything.

Mesmers need to be more useful in PvE, so there is more demand.

Few good ideas from that thread:

Maelstrom should be mesmer skill, not elementalist.

Mesmer E-Management needs vast improving. Now Glyph of Lesser Energy is extremely superior to any other Mesmer ELITE e-management. Reduce recharge on E-Drain or something.

Inspiration line should have some BiP type skills. Target Other Ally gains 2...13 energy type skills.

you know what they should have is 15k knights armor. they have a 15k set for all the other main armors y not knights? if they made it it should be like the knights armor duke barradin weres.

Things that i would like to see that are already posted
-KeyRings
-Dye Storage
-Charr Carving Collector in Pre

Why not add a charr Hide Collector too?

Something i would like to mention:
-if it stops all the spamming of "wheres armor guy" "wheres skill guy" "wheres storage"..... Since the update that added the icons for Res Shrines and Collectors in the minimap, why not add icons for all the significant NPCs in towns and other Useful NPCS like tamers and material guys outside of town or just a NPC search in town where you can see a list of the npcs there click on one and i will target it auto.
