Really, all I can say is good-bye. I understand the frustration, but just leaving cause of GW2, which is still 2 years away. Wow, just wow.
Sure, it would be nice to take your characters over, but the story line takes place over a hundred years later, do you really see taking your character over, being possible?

i too can understand your frustration, i personally feel the same, but imo you should stay up untill GW2 comes out, test it, then leave, otherwise you are giving up without all the info.
But if you still wanna leave i'm not gonna force u to stay, gl and hf in the next adventure you take on dude :D oh and bye ^_^

just take a look, it still is a while till gw2 and enjoy this part for as long as you cn.
dont leave because something that might happen in the future, u dont commit suicide because u know u will die anyway (maybe rough example, couldnt think somethign better XD)

A post like this on gameamp from a (pretty new) Mutant member?
MMM I dislike this..
Pretty strange to leave a game when the next one will only be released in 1,5-2 years..
Once again someone who reacts before the facts are there..

Theres an easy explanation why characters cant be brought over. And that is because of the undefined level cap. All the level 20s with 10m xp+ will jump from 20 to who knows maybe 50?? Thats 30 levels that were skipped. I am glad for this, it gives everyone an even chance of leveling up.

i spy in my lill crystal ball tht a time portal will appear similair to the one @ Topk and when passing through it u will comes out in GW2
tht or u can be frozen in droks and be "defrosted" in gw2 but i havent figured out the way back to gw 1

Why not enjoy the present?
The game won't be out for quite sometime, also you have to understand that GW 2 will be a totally new and different game from GW BUT with the same basics and since it's a new game you get a new start. My point is if you like GW enjoy the moment and make your decision when GW 2 actually comes out.

Actually IMHO chapter 2 and 3 would have been much better if you couldn't take your old characters over until you finished them with a new chara first...

Think it is a little too soon to make that call but to each his own. I think GW is great and if they want to put out a GW 2 independent of the origional so be it. I will play them all. GL in whatever you chose to play

Well, good luck with whatever you do. Personally, GW2 sounds an awful lot like WoW to me, but that's ok, because WoW has always sounded like an awesome game, I just didn't want to pay a monthly fee. I'll stick around for all this free content they say they will be adding, and will most likely check out GW2.

no but this was a essential part of GW 2 the world supposed title. IT was enevitable, because i remember when Warcraft III frozen throne etc was out me and my friend were playing it all the time and some people left because of WoW and it gained a bigger fan base even though most of the vets left.
I feel your pain, because right now i got a 3.1 Processor comp with a so so graphics card and sound card, i will have to get a better graphiics card by time the game comes up but they are looking at this at a marketing profit. You do have to take in how everyone feels about it but its mostly a marketing standpoint. They made this because the era of turn-based action rpgs which GW is sorta is is dying slowly. That was back in the late 90's. Now MMORPGs like the online final fantasy's and WoW, is taking over. You have to adjust its like being in the 60's and having to hear the sound of the Beatles an alternative rock band instead of ur classical jazz or bluegrass. YOur gonna get useto it so might as well go through with it.

Read again, you will never be able to take your chars over. If you believe you can, you can all go sit by the winter dwarf and dont feed him for 30 minutes and wait for him to give you a winter hat.

Oh my god I actually never realised what gw2 was about....that totally sucks and I feel your frustration.....I don't think I'm going to bother with gw2
I can't belive that thats seriously suckage! :( titles and my chars are going to become practically useless.....might as well play lineage instead. Thats a huge disappointment why can't they carry on with the campaigns?
Oh well have fun with w/e game your going to play instead or w/e!
