OMG Help Preety plz , im screwed = (

ok i let my friend borrow my account to paly for a while cos he was considering buying , i still have control of the account . But i want to change my pass word as i dont want him to have access any more.

so i do change password from account log-in.
its says type in email , which i did went thorugh fine.
next step was to make a ncsoft account.
ive done that and i cant find the button to change my gw password , and its frustraing =(

has any1 else cahnged their pass or had problems , if nto then im going to the supprot and gt thorugh that way but i thought i'l ask you first = )

First of all i never let ANYONE no matter how much i trust them or know them or even my own family, with a MMORPG account or any account of that matter which ive invested my time and work into, hope you get that fixed soon man. Change that pass.

i actually need to know aswell lol, at start it was easy to change password but now, it sends me to ncsoft websites and stuff which i can't find the option to change my GW password =/
so yeah, i'd like to know aswell ^^ (same problem lol)

I had to change my password recently as well. From what I recall, its at the FAR bottom right. Not sure though, i'll look later (farming charr in pre).

Be careful how you phrase this to the support guys since it's actually against the EULA to share an account.

You'll get this screen with your info:

Click the big Account Details button to see your GW info

Use the big button here to change your password.

thanks for that info Keo =)

but i have another probelm im guessing i ahve to add guidlwars under games , when i do that i put in factions/nightfal keys it says their invalid = ( im gonan try agin but i think this procces is kinda stupid and shoudl be done throught the client bit r have a accoutnamanagemnt on teh guidlwrs site alot easier imo.

yup says both keys are invalid ive done both twice checked for mistakes etc and still says their invalid =/

o and sorry for horrdenus spellings in other posts i want to get this thing sorted -_-

If you do not have access to the PlayNC master account there is absolutely nothing you can do about this.

This Play NC stuff allowed a LOT of accounts to get jacked, because when the store first came out you didn;t need a password to steal someones account.

Basically you would type in the account e-mail and then press the enter store button, it would prompt you to set up a play NC account .....

Whoever did that, did not need your current password to set up the play NC account......

They could make any changes they wanted to your account password and such without the changes being sent to your e-mail.......

I know several people that had accounts jacked in this manner....

A-Net of course responded to thier e-mails with a million form letters, and to thier phone calls by saying that it simply could not have happened....

But the day they introduced the store they took it offline and it was days before it was available agian......

The exploit was fixed, of course, but if you let someone have access to your account now and you have NOT set up a playNC account yet, they can do it if they have access to your character select screen, and once they have done so you are SOL.

Guild Wars claims they will return the account to you if you send them the exact date and time you created the account, scan copies of the upc symbols off the box, scan copies of the key-code, scan copies of the actual disk, scan copies of the reciept of purchase, and some other info....

But they won't so don't bother going thru the trouble. They will send a form letter dsaying they recieved your info and that they are looking into it and that the case heen closed .

You can send more info and requests via the incident # and they will keep responding with form letters, untill they eventually send you a form letter telling you to post your comments on one of the elite fansites and asking you NOT to coorespond with them anymore.....

I know this because I went thru it =/

ow man sucky = ( , well i went out of gw for a while to play ... urm shal i mention it ... WoW and i let my friend borrow it for a week or so to make a cahracter and go though it and hes a clsoe friend so i knew he wouldnt steal it . but with Guildwars 2 looking very WoWish i likes the sounds of it and wanted my account back thoug i might make another for GW2 as a fresh start .

A guy that was in my guild who i thought was alright ( he'd been there like 2 days ) said can i have a go on your account to see factions, i said no i never let anybody on my account,
i gave him like 2k for his armour in ascalon to help him, then the next day he said how much money you got, i need skills, i told him you can get skills from quest, then he left the guild.

Another guy i gave like 10k as i said id give him an ecto in this 2 man trap when i got one, didnt get ecto, gave him the 10k then he left the guild....

Well personally it's not handy to lend your account to anyone, some come with trial-buddy keys, sure 14 hours is a little short, but if you help him around he can find his way, and if he likes it at first then he might buy it, and IF you decide to let him play on yours, see if you can just visit him or something and login yourself and just guide through the game for a few days until he makes his decision.

I wouldn't just leave anybody alone with your account because its too easy to change passwords (especially since you now have the ''select character'' option that doesn't log you out so you can still get into Account Management.
