How'd you get your internet nickname?

Hey, i read a topic like this on several forums, and correct me if im wrong, but i haven't seen one on AMP.

I was wondering though, alot of people have funny stories on how they got/chosen their internet nickname, some just took it simple by being inspired by a word, others had a long thought about it.

I'l edit this one later on, unless there is ofcourse, already a topic with this subject.

How i got my nickname:

I purely haven't really based my nickname (Karoqian) on anything, it was just something of a mix of half-words and letters, and that was the result. I always use parts of words for passwords, and when thinking of a nice nickname, cause i didnt want ''shadowdragon'' or ''666daemonoverlord'' (no offense) but something a bit less used (hell, no-one has it)

You speak it out as: Karokian, no need to pronounce it with a Q or something like that, just Ka-Ro-Ki-An, IF you insist on pronouncing it (but this is mostly for my guildies on TS, but there im reffered to my more known nickname, Arty(read below)

Arty on the other hand, is a by-product of my main chars name: Artanum Karoqian, Artanum changed just like Karoqian into Karo into a shorter version, which became Arty.

Contrary to what i have heard of some, Karoqian isn't derived from a game called Homeworld with a race from Kharak, Kharakians as you could call em, sounds like Karoqian in some ways, but its not derived/based on that.

Also, i had some people from the Eastern block asking if i was from there due to my name, sorry, im not, it's just a simple coincidence it sounds like im from around there.

i picked my internet name as it is what my friends call me and because its my surname.

i got my nick name from friends for skoll (when i used 2 b at skool) cos my last name is Love, they called me loverman so i use that for every thing now.

Beats being called ''schaap (sheep)'' for 4 years at school because your hair was fuzzy and made it look like sheepskin.

I got mine(Toast) because it was partly inspired from a CAD comic and partly because I i put a plastic knife into a toaster and the toaster went on fire from it.

I was not allowed to touch the toaster at home or school 2 months after that.

Because sticking a metal one in there would have been...um...stoopid!?! :p

My name goes back to when I was 4...way before I even knew about the net, and CB's were the cell phones of the age. Keo comes from a long, twisty, medley of shortenings and translations from an original handle.
I think I first used Keo as my alias for mIRC and then UT, CS etc. and eventually GW :)

However no one knows me or has ever known me as Keo offline.

Also. Try putting a paperclip in between two batteries. Its get real hot real fast. Hot enough to sear a scar into human flesh.

oh .. I've had my nick since I was 11 during my Pen & paper days. "I'm 24 now" short is Arcane van Morda or long is Arcane VanGuard Mordakaida. :P I've used all three for years.

What is so confusing is brining some friends into chat and some call me Arcane, some call me VanGuard and some call me Mordakaida. I have tons of friends who go.. Who the heck you talking to. LOL A bit confusing at times.

And Yes I do have real life friends who call me those nicks.
There is a gas station person who thinks my real name is Mordakaida.

That's nothing, 2 years back with chemistry class we stood around in a broken circle and the end of the line 2 people held one string attached to a battery with an enhancer on it, when the current went through you'd all jump up because of the shock, very funny.

i have 3 and they all have stupid storys.
1:mist:my friend and i were 7 years old and we were playing hide and seek and it was really foggy like u couldnt c in front of u.and he couldnt pronoce fog so he called me mist adn he still does till this day(im 16 now)

2:truth:cause i beat up my step dad and the cop laughed and said that i wasnt telling the truth and then she asked a kid who saw it and he said he is truthful but he had problems saying the -ful part at the end,so a little 5 year old kid calls me truth and i dont mind.

3:plague:there was a bad virus(human sickness)going around my area a couple of years ago and i was at home sick and i was playing ut04 and i cleared the servers i went from server to server killing everyone,i had like 15 killing stearks,and 2 people called me plague that day because of we were calling the virus plague and because i speard though ut like one.

my favorite is truth and mist all my chars on gw have truth or mist in there name except my necro he is plague of truth lol.

yea my storys r stupid but o well

Hmmm......mw is my first and last initials, peck is my step-dad last name....so I kinda put them together.

When it comes to in-game names, crimson......I really cant remember.....I think back when I started playing Natural Selection....I was using Mark as my name, but after joining a community, Marks-servers(which I DIDNT own), they requested changing my name to avoid confusion with the owner......so I chose crimson....then later found out there was someone else named Crimson Ghost...who I became pretty good friends with. :P

Cswella is the login ID I had in school, a combination of my First name's first initial and the first 5 letters of my last name. I really liked it as it didn't have obvious meaning and that I could be anyone.

All my chars have the last name Relakis. I picked it because I found a paper from my Preschool years and that was how I spelled 'Reckless'.

o no reason just was trying to figure out y someone who is of th age to be able to play gw and have better spelling then me would have preschool papers laying around.not trying to be rude was just wondering.
