i have an idea for enhancing the quest log.
adding a setting to see the quests that have been completed. so you can see what quests you have done. and then if you need to you can compare to a 3rd party site for the quests so you can work out where you you need to go next.
if this makes any sense...:P
many thanks warhawk121

that would be another useful tool to add to the game, it does get a little frustrating when your trying to find your way to a quest location running blind and going by memory alone.

Totally agree with you two. It would be so nice to have a quest log that shows which ones you've done. Like you said if you select a completed quest you should be able to replay it WITHOUT getting the rewards after completing it again. At least that way you can help friends and guild mates. It would also be kinda fun to replay some of the quests.
...the shark blew up cuz the penguin rigged it with explosives. if you dont know this, ur retarded, in the face.

is there a guild wars development forum we can link this thread to, so maybe if we're lucky a dev might take the idea on board?
we got the character select option, so maybe we will get this *crosses fingers*

This is a good idea. There is this one quest I would really love to redo because I just found out that there is a boss that spawns ONLY during that one quest, and I really need it's elite skill. I also think being able to see which ones you have done would be a good aswell because I've been having the urge to check back for quests I missed, but I can't do that when I don't know the ones I already did.

i'm not to sure about this one...
the way i see it is do you really need a quest log to show what quests you have done? i mean over all 3 campaignes and the soon to be GWEN, you would literally have a back catalouge of hundreds of quests.
and saying about not knowing what quests you have done...
if you are looking for a quest you must have found out about on gwiki or something, which means you should find out how to get the quest anyway, so if you cant get the quest off of a person you must have done it already.
plus any quests you can do are highlighted with the ! above a characters head.
meh, i dunno, just seems like something you dont really need

Perhaps. But they can make it very easy to read and access. It doesn't have to cover your whole screen, it can just have drop downs of towns, outposts, and other areas. It can also have it so you choose to have it showing the quests a certain way. For instance, you can have it show quests you have completed ONLY, quests you HAVN'T completed (so you don't have to waste time on Guildwiki for every little detail you want except a run through if your really that lazy), or show all quests you are able to access. The quests that show can also appear depending on which campaign you are currently in, so if your in Prophecies, only those quests will show and same for if you are in Factions and Nightfall. There are many ways they can make it so it's pleasing to the eye and easy to use, all they need is enough people so agree that this is a good idea with potential of making the game somewhat more organized.
Also, as someone said before, they should also make it so you can redo the quests (without getting the rewards). Mainly because only certain creatures and events happen during these quests and would make it much less frustrating for those who completed it, only to find out that the boss had an elite they really want or need.

its all well and good sayinggo to wiki etc, but can you honestly say that you can remember every single quest you have have done?
all i am saying and i hate to make comparisons to other games but if wow and star wars galaxies can provide a quest log that allows you to track the quest you have donefrom day one. i think its a good idea so you can reference against wiki for example to see if you have done quest A for example instead of skippingahead to quest C without knowing you have skipped the previos quest.

I agree with one of the guys posted above. There would be tons of quests in the completed list. And what about repeatable quests? Will the be listed too once you've completed them? Cause they will be available again, so they have to be added, removed, added, removed...from the list...unnecessary waste of computer resources there^^
And does this topic have to be bumped all the time? It's not like a recruitment thread or so? ;)

I think its a good idea, I often help my friends, but I have to either make new chars, or let them lead me. Its really annoying. And the quest I would really like to do over is the one where u defend Beetletun. That is so fun, but I only get that much excitement during really high-end quests... :(

i just think its a good idea, as it is help ful for other players who 1: wish to keep track of the quest they have or havent done. and 2: as people have said use it as an aid to assist other players or is that such an arcane concept these days? (i dont mean this to appear like a flame in any way shape or form)
i for one find it fun to assist other players and having a new player trying to navigate their way to a quest location when you have done the quest but forgotten the route can be a little frustrating at time.
i would like to see this appear in a futrue post just like is was over the moon when they intriduced the character select option instead of having to log in and out again when you wanted to change characters.
if anyone can send me a link or contact to where the devs might see my idea can they let me know.
many thanks
