| Need HELP with warrior build!!!! |
|
|
|
I have been playing since the game came out. I need to know how to make the perfect warrior proffesions and all. Keep in mind I only have the first guild wars(I forget the name). I am really good with my warrior right now, but I want to make a new one and I want him as good as he can be. Thanks.

"perfect" depends on every person and depends on what you're doing.

well seeing as how i read your other post and it says your only to yak's bend, then it's going to be hard to have a "perfect" warrior build this early in the game
IGNS:
Barbarian Two One O, W/Anything, All 3 campaigns beaten
Barrage Two One O, R/me/mo, mainly used for B/P
Monk Two One O, Mo Restarted for survivor title
Ganker Two One O, A/E going to use for ToPK in a little bit

Warrior depends on the simple build:
attacks skills
healing/purge skills
rez
what most often is recommended is something like
*attack
*attack
*attack
*attack
*stance
* heal (sig or lions comfort)
* purge (removing bleeding and such) like mend ailment
*rez (pref sig since you dont want to rebirth an ally in the middle of aggro)
What i most oftenly use (for proph and the missions in NF before the realm of torment)
W/Mo (axe build)
charging strike (elite)
dismember
executioners trike
furious axe
axe rake/watch yourself
lions comfort
mend ailment
rez sig
axe mastery set to 16
tactics set to 10
rest into strength

Bring Mending touch, MUCH better then mend ailment in my opinion.
We wonder, "Why?" when we lose friends, and there are never any good answers.

mending touch has a 1 sec cast time; as a warrior in the middle of aggro that is too long imho; every second counts when you are deemed to be the aggro holder and main damage holder. If you have poison on you (which is a massive degen) you want to get rid of it asap; 1 second is a VERY long time. mend ailment is done immediately.
EDIT:
| QUOTE | Mend Ailment
Spell: Remove one condition (Poison, Disease, Blindness, Dazed, Bleeding, Crippled, or Deep Wound) from target ally. For each remaining Condition, that ally is healed for 5 to 57 Health. |
5 energy; 0 cast; 5 racharge
| QUOTE | Mending Touch (Nightfall)
Spell: Touched ally loses two Conditions and is healed for 15 to 51 Health for each Condition removed in this way. |
5 energy; 1s cast; 4 recharge
imho for a warrior the 1st one holds better prospects. by the time HT has out done MA; MA has removed 3 conditions. Even it cost more energy; using a adrenaline build it would not have affected antything while MT makes you less effective as warrior for some time.

there are so many different builds that is hard to give you one "perfect" build. on my warrior i use many different builds in a day depending on what i am doing. If i were you just get builds from someone in game and save em and when you need em, pop em out. Right now im using an adapted solo HM stone ele build to farm:
12 Earth Magic
8 Strength (+1 Rune)
10 Axe (+4 rune and helm)
Penetrating chop
Penetrating Blow
Triple Axe (E)
Endure Pain
Stoneflesh Aura
Armor Of Earth
Magnetic Aura
Sliver Armor
What i do, i aggro three eles after i have AoE on me and when they all get to me i use sliver armor. If they hit me, they do 0-2 damage. Use Triple Axe to charge up andrenaline and other skills when needed.
(This is one of my first builds so plz dont be too hard on me :)

he said he only had prophecies so its quite useless for him to give him builds that need skils from other campaigns....

There is no "perfect" build. You must adapt, stay flexible. Some situations call for lots of attack skills, others for more defense skills. Use what you have, determine your own build and style. Don't be afraid to experiment, try new and strange combos, sometimes they turn into killer builds.

I dont know how many times the site has been posted on GA, and if youve had GW since the beggining, you would definitly have developed a build that suits you, and you can run easily. Please stop asking these questions, theyre so nubby, just look it up on google, youtube, w/e and youll have the answer so much quicker.

id say insted of monk secondary go ranger for antidote signet and IAS like tigers furry or somthin
Antidote signet
Cleanse yourself of poison, disease and blindness.
0 energy 1sec casting time 4sec recharge time
Tiger's Fury
All your non-attack skills are disabled for 5 seconds. For 5-10 seconds, you attack 33% faster.
or
Hekkets rampage
increases your attack speed by 33% for 7 sec at 4 beast mastery and end when you use a skill
is an easy way to build up adrenalin at the start of a fight

last time i checked mend ailment had a 3/4 second cast which is barely any different from mending touch. Also mending touch always heals you when you remove a condition and beyond that it removes 2. Also the recharge has changed, its 6 seconds now.
Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

Mend Ailment: 5e 3/4c 5r
Remove 1 Condition; heal 5...57 Health for each remaining condition.
Mending Touch: 5e 3/4c 6r
Remove 2 conditions; if a condition is removed, heal for 5...57 Health.
Now, those are the appropriate stats for both skills in question. Looking at Mend Ailment, sure it's appealing, if you've got a stack of conditions on you. But, what you have to realize, in order for Mend Ailment to be used to its full potential (being a condition remover and effective situational self heal), you have to pump some points into Protection Prayers. That said, if you're going for a Protection Prayers W/Mo (IE: Self Sustaining Life Sheath, Shielf of Reflection Tank, Shield of regeneration Tank, etc) then Mend Ailment is the perfect condition removal skill for you.
Now, on a W/Mo build that does not wish to invest valuable attribute points into Protection Prayers in favor of other attributes, then Mending Touch is (and unless ANET nerfs it more) and will always be the ideal W/Mo condition removal. If you're going for a condition removal, the ability to remove two at once is a huge plus. The healing part is just a bonus, but it is easily negligable. If you're concerned about healing for remaining conditions, the Warrior Strength Attribute has a nice Conditional Healing skill: "I Will Survive!". In Alliance Battles and other Pve/PvP environments where stacked conditions are troublesome, and often inflicted, a Warrior/Monk utilising "I Will Survive!" and then Mending Touch is a very effective combo. I won't go into build details, but I'm sure you can figure out ways to use that well.
A little advice here as well; if you're looking at PvE, then consider acquiring both skills, and utilising judgement from the enemies in the area or team advice, equip whichever skill is suitable to you. If there are going to be a lot of conditions and you're only expected to be the tank, then pump some points into Protection Prayers and bring Mend Ailment. If there's only one or two conditions that are generally inflicted, then take Mending Touch.

I'm perfectly willing to help, however due to real life, I can't get on very often. Still and all, feel free to PM me in game or here if you need help.
