if u go on wiki they tell u that they are going to be erasing their entire build section. WHY. that is like the only reason that i go on wiki. i like looking at the builds. there reason for it also doesnt make sence to me maybe you guys can figure out y they are doing this.

is it just me or is this topic better suited at the wiki forum... .... kinda seams like going into burger king complaining about mc donalds is removing the doubble cheezeburger

They can remove it for all I care, all people go on there for is because they can't come up with their own builds so they use the builds people have already thought of and go and over farm the areas the builds are made for. Im actually kinda happy they are taking them out cause now people will actually have think for their own.

It'll just be down for a while I read the whole thing.... It's really easy to use I don't know who's been complaining but the majority of peopel I know use Wiki for their builds xD.

Well you can always go to the Official Wiki for builds.
There are a lot of people who can't make up builds. My future wife for one.. she is one of those people who will put points in everything even if she is not using any of those skills for those points.
Sharing builds is a great way to make friends or share with the community. Just because someone can not make up their own does not mean they can not contribute to the community. :)
If you can't post builds on the Unofficial Wiki..... well you can always do i ton the Official one.

it would be illegal for the owners of guildwiki to delete anything on that site. the reason for that is because of the type of license the woner has. its setup that everythign writen on the website is the writers content, and not by any means his. if he deleted it he could be sued.

i have no problem with ppl using build they read some where, hell i do it alot... (mostly becus im to lazy to make my own) do tend to modify a bit to fit my style of play.. .
sharing and using build is like said b4, a good way to share with the community...
i do however have a slight problems with ppl comming into burgerking complaining about mc'd

I don't think anyone was trying to offend you. It's a forum so we discuss it like any other forum does.
I like the wiki builds section. I agree with the wiki ppl that half of them are sub-par. But as for the random pvp builds I liked them just because they're sometimes fun to use to give myself a little diversity from the builds I make and I like to try new things.

Why would you take it away?
The builds section of Wiki is the most useful
I really enjoy just searching up builds, Modifying them, Testing them to there origanal, and comparing results...its alot of fun!
We need to start a petition to keep the page
So what if noobs search for builds to kill us in PvP...dont you relize the fact that they are copying the build and arent the origanl...so they wont be the best at it...the average noob will try it for 1-2 Hours then get fed up
really it just takes persistance to get a build strait
You dont ahve to worry about that

I think that part of the reason is they're trying to get more people to use the official GW wiki now.

The owners of Guildwiki have written an explanation, it's linked to earlier in the thread.
Also, I don't know much about legal matters...but I don't think they can be sued. Sure, it's the writers content, but it is not the site owner's job to store that. Plus, they have offered a valid reason for removing it.
