How exactly are they acting like noobs? They sprinted to the enemy guild lord, killed all the NPCs, and killed the Lord shortly before the other team did the same, and won the match. What's noobish about that?

I may have been out of Guild Wars to long but since when does dying once during an otherwise flawlessly executed GvG make someone a noob? Looks to me like he made a good tactical choice to "take one for the team" and get on with it. He kept up his heals throughout being ganked and was 'dead' for all of 2 seconds.

What should he have done differently that would've had a better effect?

I don't get it either?

An almost flawless with the only casualty being the hottest target of the match...the Monk. He gets res'd, swaps his gear and is back on the ball before the light fades.

I'm sure he's really worried about all the jealous comments being made.

But the music had to be muted!

First, how is he/she an infuser? I never saw Infuse Health anywere during the video. The skills I saw were Shield Bash, Heal Other, Light of Deliverance, Reversal of Fortune, and Spirit Bond. Secondly, it looks like there were at least 2 archers attacking Tommy Equals FTW in addition to the guard. I figured this by the Pin Down x2(Pin Down has a 15 second recharge, the icon would have faded by that time if it was from the same archer). Sure Tommy Equals FTW probably could have kept him/herself alive but if you're healing yourself you are probably not healing anyone else so they die instead. So, in my opinion Tommy Equals FTW wasn't being noobish, just got focus fired and decided to keep the damage dealers alive instead of him/her self.

tommy is a lod infuser, and there is only one archer and a knight on him, but they were all focusing on lord to kill him fast that's the reason he died he wasnt looking at his health

and to keo: they were ganking each other so no focus target here :)

I'm pretty sure it's at least two archers and the guard. Pin Down is applied twice in rapid succession on the Damage Monitor which is almost impossible from one archer unless they used Echo. On the Youtube version at about 1:37-ish(probably about the same time on the Filefront version as well) you can make out Pin Down being applied twice in about 1/2 a second of eachother.

oh yea just looked at it again... there is an other archer I havent seen and the guild lord shoot like 1-2 arrow at him, ok it might be hard to handle then ^^

Help! I'm lost here. Clearly I must be the noob because I have no clue what the big deal is here in the first place.

I've just watched the HQ version and I can see what the fuss is about. A high level GvG'er got taken out by the base defenders using very basic melee attacks.

Things I don't get:

Why didn't the other Monk heal him?
Why is it such a big deal?
Why are people calling him a noob and being downright nasty?
How did a top 100 ranked guild end up playing a R 4000+ guild?
Who is he?

and most of all...

Are we supposed to be jumping on the `omfg what a noob` bandwagon or taking some other position on it?

O.o

Accually I wanted my old guild to do this in a GvG:

Have 8 55 monks with:

Balthazars Fury
Kirins Wrath
Spellbreaker (e)
Spell Shield
Protective Spirit
Shield of Absorbtion
Blessed Aura
Essence Bond

So the goal here is to run in , cast Spellbreaker and Spell Shield on yourself with Protective Spirit, Essence Bond, Shield of Absorbtion, and essence bond with 55 health (much like the SoA 55hp monk) and run in to the Guild Lord and surrond him and blast away with Balthazar's Fury and Kirin's Wrath. Since hes surronded he cant move against the AoE and therefore dies! We accually did this against another team in the Allience and won, but they got mad and kicked us out...And then the Guild Leader kicked me cause he blamed me for getting the guild kicked >_>

Tommy Equals FTW...FTW! :P

We wonder, "Why?" when we lose friends, and there are never any good answers.
