When do you think Hard Mode will be here?

Just want to know peoples opinion on when you think Hard Mode will be here.

I think it will be soon, maybe not this week or weekend, but with in the next couple weeks. I personally cant wait for it. And I bet that once someone finds that uber drops going to fall in Ascalon's areas, that people will be flocking to all the mission area's saying "LFG Mission and Bonus."Anyways thats my opinion, whats yours?

i believe that it was stated that hard mode would be out in 1-2 months, it will be HARD for a reason, bots and soloing will probably be non exsistent

I heard it was due out in the next couple of weeks, I think they said three weeks from a few weeks ago, don't really remember. But it looks like it's going to be awesome, tons of new stuff added.

Edit: Ok, looked on guildwiki, here's their page on hard mode Hard Mode, and the link at the bottom Gaile says within a month or sooner, and that was on March 20. So we're looking at 2 and a half weeks, max.

hard mode - this is act 2 of all the games. You cannot solo farm this as far as i kno ull get pwned like a lvl 1 warrior useing healsignet with no armor danceing in the underworld ( how mcuh would that suk) But you know with enough time and the right skills andyone can solo so i guess we will find out

Gaile said to expect a "big" update this week. Since they have not yet posted a weekend event (they usually do on Tuesdays), I'm guessing Hard mode opens this weekend. That meshes with what she said a few weeks ago about it being released within a few weeks...

wow thats sorta stupid to have a hard mode... no point in it.. if they wanted to make the game harder then they could have made it harder while creating them.

edit- hard mode will ONLY affect pve right, cuz if it doesnt affect pvp then im happy =)

Hard mode will give vet players a reason to go to the normally lower level area's....Wanna fight level 20 char around ascalon? That will be possible with hard mode(maybe not outside ascalon, but in the general area)

Also, no one knows if/where you will be able to solo farm. I would say there will probably be some solo farming, anet is not against it....what they are against is the bots that solo farm. If they wanted to nerf solo farming: Immensely lower drops if your the only person in the party in that zone, and make it split item drops even if the rest of the party is off-screen.

I'm sure there will be a way to toggle between hard mode and normal, perhaps a pulldown in towns that basically says Hard or Normal, which ever its on when you leave town, is the mode it uses.

Yes, it only affects PvE...I dont see how they could do a hard-mode PvP unless they made more enviromental effects, and the current ones more powerful.

Hard Mode will offer better drops(or at least more frequent decent drops), as well as they will be rebalancing normal mode to make it easier than the current gameplay.

2,000 words is a lot.....a normal page, size 12 font, holds about 500 words....so think about 4 pages worth of updates, this of course isnt counting how they format it.

Sweet, end of this week! But dang, I'm going to be at home for Easter, and I wouldn't want to spend a weekend that I paid for travel to spend with my family playing guild wars instead. Oh well, I'll read it when it comes out and come back up here all the more excited.

my gues is that Hard mode will be out this week. Gaile said it:

* The helm for the Warrior ascended Gladiator's armor is going to be added to the game soon.
* Gaile will request more information on the Hall of Monuments later this week.
* There will be 2nd year birthday gifts.
* Froggie heard activity is coming with the Xunlai.
* Splitting of the Skill Hunter title is not on the latest coming update notes but it is coming.
* Non-English wikis still some months away.
* April fools day will end at midnight PST.
* Trans-species guilds in GW2, Gaile thinks so.
* Vanquisher title is coming with Hard Mode.

tyria DOESN'T have hard mode, when you check your titles it says: you have reached the maximum of this title. so no guardian of tyria.

but when you go over your protectr of elona and cantha title it says: you will reach guardian of cantha/elona when you finbish eeach mission in hard mode.

sorry if i ruind everything for some people, just dont get hope for tyria

we all know that gaile has said "end of the week/month" b4 and the update in question has taken ALOT longer than that.... but we can all hope hardmode will be here asap :) i know i do,

I am for 1 really looking forward to the hard modes for missions. I have done all more then i can count and though it stays fun a greater challenge with better rewards (as in drops). I know i will be spending reliving the missions ^^

i bet after hard mode has come many ppl are going to colplain that it's waaaay to hard because their "cookie-cutting-builds" might not work in that area :P

I think it should be out between April 10th - 20th. No earlier No later.
When Hard mode first comes out there is going to be a lot of cookie cutters, there shouldn't be any group builds just for each individual mission for several hours or days.

Despite skill changes and mob updates since the release of GW, there has been places to solo farm. Hard mode will be no different. Assuming mobs still only have access to 8 skills each, its basically impossible to keep every mob in the game strong against every possible solo farm option out there.

If there are bigger prizes involved per kill, I believe hard mode will become the new standard for all farming. Which to me would be a disappointment because it would mean that many people who are once again unwilling to team up for things.

Regardless, hard mode sounds like an awesome change that'll add all the more to GW's replay value
