| Ideas for farming this boss? |

My very good in-game friend and I have been trying to farm this boss using various profession builds, and we just can't seem to quite get this guy. We've used most of the typical farming builds with modifications to no avail- just haven't found the right set up yet, so I was hoping someone who is very proficient at solo boss-takedown could suggest ideas to try.
We have every class and just about every skill and elite between the two of us, and a duo-farm is possible though honestly we've been trying seperately thus far (gaming hours haven't matched up lately).

The knockdowns and degen have been the problem, though luckily there's no enchantment strippers in his party and he's rather close to a town portal.
My friend wants the green for the skin- we're kinda weird like that, collecting stuff just because it's pretty and unique :-)

u cn practically farm every boss with it as long as you cn pack some mobs around yourself

I believe my friend said he tried the A/E already and didn't have luck with it, but I'll bring my ele down there and try E/A later today. Thanks.

The boss is an ele and you say theres no enchant stripers, why not go 55hp?
I havent tried the e/a but ive tried the same as A/E , with shock and aftershock, and its very unreliable , does this one always get the job done then?

is it just DPS damage? or is there actual degen, such as burning dmg. If its only DPS you might think of something as basic as a Dolyak Tank with some good heals, and good dmg ... I would have to play around with it, and actually go there and see what kinda stuff you would be up against. (caus dolyak would cause you not to be kd'ed also, along with giving extra armor)

I've been working on a similar boss (Behin Skybringer) with an Ele solo. Haven't perfected it yet, but here's what I've been using:
16 Earth
9 Domination
2 Inspiriation
11? Energy Storage
Sliver Armor
Arcane Echo
Backfire
Aura of Restoration
Obsidian Flesh
Mantra of Earth
Stone Striker
Stoneflesh Aura
Basically, I get right up close to the boss, without aggroing. I cast Mantra, Stone Striker and Stoneflesh. Reposition if boss has moved, then cast Aura and Obsidian and wade in. Get right up close to the boss and cast Echo, Sliver and Backfire. Use Echoed Sliver when needed and keep other enchants/mantra up. If you do it right and there's enough baddies around hitting you, he'll go down pretty quick.
I'm not going to say this will for sure work, but you can give it a try. I can't test it now as I'm at work. Lemme know if it works for you!

I've actually managed him with a 130hp dervish build also. the big thing is that you've got to make sure you cast your spells as soon as you're knocked down..it helps a lot.

55 Necro with Spoil Victor should do the job. Bring Life Siphon just in case he gets down to below 55 hp.

The degen is from mesmer hexes as I recall. I know my friend did try a Dolyak warrior (possibly W/Rt) to no avail. I'll have to ask him if he ran his 55 SV necro through it.
I haven't run an E/A build before, and I probably should have by now!, hehe...so I'm going to go cap and try that shortly, I've only Terra farmed previously.

I've farmed that particular boss several times and have gotten its green twice using the basic Shadow Form ele build.
Not terribly difficult, just need to bubble pull a few mobs that are around the boss group and it should go down fairly quickly.
