GW Vet Goes WoW

yep another one decides to take the leap from GW to WoW.

Just started a Druid on the Venture Co server. BIG MAPS!! and i hate walking -.-

But at least the scenary makes for pleasant viewing as i take the 15minute walk from Dolanaar to Darnassus.

Besides that I am impressed with the graphics and the general gameplay.

Hope to see others mooching around the shores of Auberline soon ^_^

PS No, I am not a GW sadist and am very open to any MMO thats out there. WoW and GW are totally different IMO and should remain that way :P

Lvl 40 you get a mount, so be happy about that 60% movement increase. :p

Welcome to WoW.

Druids are the best ^^, at level 30 you get travel form (cheetah) 40% speed increase. I have a level 59 of my own, soon to be 60 ^^

Yeah, I made the jump a month or so ago from CoH to WoW and really my only issue is the travel thing. CoH, getting to level 14 meant getting a nice high speed travel power. WoW you have to wait forEVER.

But, the scenery is a lot nicer. I'll give it that, and I'm getting more used to the gameplay, which I'm liking as well.

i made the jump mainly from CoH to WoW, i played FFXI, MxO and SWG and what not but WoW and CoH were the best. have fun here you'll enjoy it...feel free to ask for help, thats what us Gameamp lovers are here for.

Sephar , I myself was a GW vet I started playing GW in mid to late May or early June of 2005 . Ive had to give it up everything was getting to me looking for groups and so on . What I love about WoW is you could be out in no mans land doing a quest and having trouble and BANG theres someone thats doing the same one .... Welcome Sephar to WoW

Hehe Hey Sephar.. Hf with WoW mate.. the leap from GW to WoW was succesfull for me. Like you said they are totally different and they should be. I cant say one is better but I know Im having more fun with WoW now then with GW just cause im bored with it. :)

HF mate.. and druid is a very good choice, a fun class.

Check out Pirates of the Burning Sea... Yarr! We got some interestin stuff goin on!

I've got a Paladin, Warlock and Rogue (all Blood Elves) that I've been toying with lately. I rather like them. 17, 14 and 12 respectively.

Wow Has much more To Look At Then Gw (Exceot In the Barens)

But I Still Think Gw Had Better Graphics

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the replies ^_^

Completely forgot that I added this post -.-'

Anyways, 4 weeks or so on and i gave up the ghost on the druid :( got to level 25 and was not enjoying as much as I did at the start. Jack of all trades, master of nothing is what i would head the druid under. Good healer or tank and plenty of spells to keep you busy but just not my style.

Mage on the other hand, BOOOOOOOOOM!!! I got to level 30 in the same time as my druid (alot of area skipping to complete quests in Kalimdor and EK's) and never looked back.

Currently lvl 47 with mount, and a few more of the people i knew from GW also coming to the dar.... light side of MMO's :P

Currently servingon The Venture Co. server (UK) any UK players who are getting a bit lonely hehe (cheap recruitment thread haha!) Ususally on from 5pm-12am GMT

Right where was I . . . oh yes. Again thanks for the replies, ill be posting questions soon cos iam getting stuck gragh!!
