RE: /energy, interesting?

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I tried the EM but never the /energy because I wasn't sure of the playability of it.

RE: /energy, interesting?

Energy Aura on a stalker is the same as it is on a brute, it works exactly the same, except Brutes have Energy Cloak, while Stalkers have the needed hide, but they are pretty much the same thing, and like every defensive set you want to try and max it out so it can be used to it's full effect, so there are a few power sets yuo can get to increase your defense, Leaping which has combat jump (doesnt give much defense but it helps), Leadership which has Maneuvers (i took this for my stalker, because i wanted tactics, cause of those damn invis trollers who gank me in RV), Concealment which all the powers in this set give defense, and then Fighting which has weave (this gives the most defense bonus out of all the ones listed above) Now for my EM/EA stalker i have Leaping, Concealment, Leadership, and Fitness. To answer your question on if its good or not, well its okay, but like every defense set you get beat up alot in pvp, but its very good in pve from what ive seen with my stalker.

Acctually combat jumping gives more of a % bonus to defence and weave is acctually the lowest and costs a lot more end to have toggled on.... also on a stalker it is worthless to have tough and weave hasten ss combat jumping sj acro stealth invis phase and then fitness pool

Weave gives 3.8% with no enhances, w/ 2 def buffs it gives 5.4%, and w/ 3 def buffs it gives 5.9%, i have it slotted w/ 2 def buffs n 2 end reduces on my brute and it works fine. Combat Jump gives 1.3% w/ no enhances, but with the same amount i have on weave, CJ only gives 1.9%, Maneuvers gives 1.5% w/ no enhances, again w/ 2 def buffs, it gives 2.1% defense bonus, and Stealth gives 2.6% w/ no enhances, w/ 2 def buffs it gives 3.8% defense bonus, i found this on the Hero Builder. None of these defense powers should be slotted with more than 2 slots, if you slot em with more than 2, you are wasting slots.

RE: /energy, interesting?

I personally think the only way Energy Aura is good is if it's used with Dark Melee, because of the tohit debuff the dark has, which would perfect the Energy Aura set and make it shine like a newly earned badge.

/energy is the only thing that gives resistance to the knockback from Force Bubble. in other words /energy brutes and stalkers are the only melees who can kill those pansies

For shame. Force Bubble is a legitimate strategy! Especially when you're running personal force field and dispersion bubble behind it and have all your pets set to bodyguard as well! It gains even more legitimacy if those pets just so happen to be the almighty ranging bots! It's not overpowered at all. Everyone knows just how much skill it takes to do that. So don't be dissing those "pansies" as you call them. It's hard out here for a bub(bler).

RE: /energy, interesting?

Depends for i know an ubeatable mm, zomb/ff, jsut summons, bubbles and upgrades her zombies and sits in her pff, and pretty much thats it, death for all who apporach. The only time that she ever falls in PvP is when shes

1) setting up her zombs
2) lowered her bubble to rebubble pets

Also drains end alot, and keeping up with full teams trying to keep them all bubbled is a task in its own,

Anyways can we gat back on topic, yeah i looked into it brutes get 2 auto ons and stalkers just the one

This is because instead of their second auto on (well first actually) stalkers get repel, which flings oppoents away if they get to close, could well be handy in a dire situation, whereas brutes jsut get an auto on damage protector, simular to resist physical damage or stone skin.

The auto on they both get is a shield which reduces energy/negative energy

:)

Downside to the repel, is that it breaks your Hide if I remember correctly. So a double-edged sword if you will.

First of all who ever said /ea for Brutes and Stalkers is very similiar well your wrong. Brutes get extra resistance power to smash/lethal why stalkers get repel or something. Also, Energy Cloak is alot better to have def wise then Hide in my opinion

I was explaining the defense part of the set, as thats the main purpose of the set, yes i know brutes get dampening field, and Energy Protection (stalkers also get this power), which offer resistance to lethal, smash, energy, and negative energy. Also Energy Cloak and Hide offer the same defense, except hide offers alot more defense to AoE. And as for Repel, why they would put that in the stalker's set beats the hell out of me, that basically gives you away, not to mention it drains your end. They would have been better off just putting dampening field in their energy aura set.
