hi every1 i was wondering if any1 could help me im trying 2 out what extra shortcut code there is coz i know a while back some1 posted a thread about /perfomance and a friend said something about /all so gw updates all ur maps and stuff. can any1 help.

here are the two most popular ones:
"C:Program FilesGuild WarsGw.exe" -password=yourpasshere
"C:Program FilesGuild WarsGw.exe" -image
last one is to download all files at once ;-)
don't forget the space between " and -image

Hey, I got a short cut question, can you run games in a window instead of full screen because I got the Battlefield 2142 demo and if I start it up, it goes blurry 'cuz I got a wide-screen moniter.
I think I remember something you put in like -window or something? Or change the resolution that the program starts in.
Anything like that would be great!

Well i know GW has a minimizing button so u can make the screen w/e size you want. Other games should have that too, i think. If that is what youre asking.

Yah, thats what I'm wondering about. Cuz if it goes full-screen on a wide-screen, it's blurry. The restore button makes it window size so the resolution is good and I can change it into a 1920 x 1200

more commands off the top of my head:
-nosound = no sound obviously
-dx8 = forces the game to use directx 8 routines, not sure how valid this one is now
-noshaders = removes the fancy shader effects
these 3 are supposed to affect performance, i/e if you're having issues, try these.

I nevr play GW full screen on my bigger monitor..
Alt + Enter
Should be pretty universal, that's how it is for most media players and it works on Guild Wars xD

I can in Guildwars, after I found out how after a while. But in some other games like BF 2142, ya can't because everything is blurry and you can't see anything right.
I'm still looking for a solution to BF 2142, though I found one for Guildwars!

It downloads the entire GW.DAT file so there is no downloading when first entering a zone.

Yes, just leave a space between. Keep in mind, the -image will not actually run the program, just download. I keep one shortcut with -image and another to start the game with -perf and -password.
