I just finished reading the PC Gamer article on GW2. And it said that the level cap in GW2 will be 100+ if not infinite. Anybody else find this utterly ridiculous? I mean I wouldn't mind raising level cap to something between 80-100, but 100+? That really seems excessive to me. Unless if they stop stat increase somewhere along the line and make the levels purely a statement of how much time you have on your hands to play GW, I'm quite against it. What are your opinions?

I have none, because we have no clue how it's gonna work yet.
Prejudgment doesn't do anything useful. :P

why not. i read in another interview that they asked the question how long they played in total. Some said 500 hours other 2000 hours.

the worst is if there aint no lvl cap you cant play all your character like now. so alot ppl will be going further with 1 character except for all

Speculations, paperware guidelines...
Too early to decide.
What I hope the equation doesn't turn into is:
Wide level range + persistent maps + pvp = gank-o-matic
Though maybe they'll do it so that your attributes stop improving at a set level and subsequent levels allow you to get new skills. Basically, roughly same thing as currently, only the level counter doesn't stop at 20 :)

They have been talking about introducing features where lower level players in the teams are buffed by their high level companions so I don't think that ANet would do something so drastically different to the GW current design without first thinking it through.

i hope so, to me the beaty of gw is that every1 competes on the same terms (more or less) dont really matter if you played your char 200h or 2000h your still as strong/weak as any1 else... whuldnt wanna see gw2 turn in to a game that benefits hours of gameplay imo that sucks
but im sure they'll make something good out of it
apparently i taste like bread, and i am 85% mesmer 80%warrior

I remeber hearing somewhere that the level thing is going to be more of title like, not power. So even though u can go past lvl 20, your power won't go up. So like now, instead of just going with a skill point, u will go up in lvl and skill point but no new attributes

I'm guessing (well, probably not, but maybe) that they will stop giving attribute points after a certain level, and that level will just be to show off. Either way, its still to early to tell, but I can't wait to see how it turns out!

| QUOTE | | Secondly and more importantly, level allows the game to change the way things feel over time. So when you're making character progress and accumulating attribute points, you eventually max-out one attribute line and move on to a completely new one, making your character and experiences feel different over time. |
This is in reference to GW2 from
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=75018
It says essentially that the higher the level the more attribute points you will accumulate so time > skill. :(
I also heard that it will work so you will have to grind immense levels to get higher levels, so a level 150 will only be a little better than a level 100. Making the gap smaller for discrimination in groups. Having
GLF 2 more 50-100lvl or LF 1 lvl300!
Fantastic! I always wanted more rank discrimination in PvE!

Well i think levels wont matter to mutch because Aney said if any 1 can help in any quest and they all get exp seems almost useless to form teams(if any) if they do have teams ill probly only use it to know where my friends are or something because u dont need to be in a team for the quest
Hey i finnaly updated my siggey
Meh ppl didnt like it so its dull and boring again
