I have been thoroughly enjoying i9 on test server, I did the mito phase of new hami, ive been running mishes for invention salvage, and am having a great time with the new in game economy. The downfall is I havent been able to chat with the rest of you in game. I reset-up the Gameamp.com channel but I havent seen any familiar faces. Im itching to chat about it so i was wondering if any of you have tried it, what you think of it, and if not, feel free to shoot questions.
The issue seems pretty stable, a little lag at wentworths, but less lag at the raid. im very excited for a new aspect to the game. the best part is, the invention salvage drops are pretty random, and for the most part taking part in the economy wont take away from leveling. i have found the best way to manage my time is to run 3-4 missions, then hit the auction house to sell my unwanted uncommon/rare salvage and recipes. The system is set up to give the highest bid to the seller with the lowest asking price so i have been selling my stuff for way less than you would expect and in return getting huge payouts. i got 18 million for 1 uncommon recipe! i think the system will be a little bit expensive the first few months, until the heavy spenders all have their new costume parts and rare sets. i will probably be selling everything during this time period, so that after when prices plummet as i expect they will, i will have more than enough money for everything i want and more. hope to see ya all on test soon, cant wait for it to hit live. (anyone here any estimates?)

Well my favorites was the jet packs, ehnachments, new badges, wenthorths, and temp powers <-- to show of :)
and oh yea the famous FLIGHT POSE!
but theres no new costume pieces, like to make a new charcter, and what about CoV Epic archetypes?!? WE WANT EPICS! and btw how many issues will there be? ill bet all you ampers that issue 10 they will have Epic archetypes for Villains

Sorry, Metal... but looks like you're wrong.
I'm guessing they're probably going to be giving us a Hollows/Faultline/Striga/Croatoa-type zone for the 30s, or else (and I really doubt this) expanding the game to level sixty.

Nice Find Kid.I do have a Question for you,since you seem to know alot about the game and where to find it.Every hero in the game (Example,Trainers,Taskforce etc.) a person? like statesman like he's matt miller,so on and so on.

no.
States, Posi, Recluse are big cheeses at Cryptic. The other signature characters (Back Alley Brawler, Ms Liberty, Mako) are played by other game developers, but they do not normally have a standard person behind the mask.
i.e. BAB was helping people on test try and defeat Hami, but it was just a regular shmoe developer and Manticore has been seen at weddings and in Pocket D, but i dont think anyone specifically uses him as an avatar.

Manticore was once the pseudonym for Sean Michael Fish, who was responsible for tying in all the storyline content and background information for CoH. I think he has been gone for a year or 2 now and no one else picked up the Manticore title.
Also, with respect to I-10, Castle confirmed there will be no increasing of levels beyond 50. Most are speculating that something will be added for the 35-40 range.

Okay there is another one that is a girl who has gone over to europe to talk about the game. I cant remember her real name and for the life of me I cant remember the name of the character she uses. Green hair...stands in Pocket D on a second floor. She is a ghost. God this is ticking me off.

And I think Manticore/Sean Michael Fish is still around somewhere. I seem to remember seeing as recently as last Halloween somebody on this site met him at the Pocket D Halloween party and got the temporary title 'Manti's Cutie Patootie'? Might have been Jordan Yen? Not sure.
And thank you for the compliment, Jersey, but I don't think I know more than anybody else around here. There are people whose opinions here I respect very highly. I'm just a guy who gets bored at work and needs something to occupy his time. ;)

That's War Witch, the pseudonym for Melissa Bianco. She is responsible IIRC for map design & random mob spawns, and she comes up with many of the things mobs and NPC's say.

Well, about Issue 9. . .
I can't wait for it to go live. The few hours I've spent on the test server have been lots of fun, and I highly reccomend that you visit if you haven't yet. It's always good to have a leg-up on the masses, especially when there are badges to be earned by selling and buying.
I'm dissapointed that the only costume peices are wings and boots. A cowgirl has no use for fairy wings or rocket boots, though they do look pretty sweet. Hopefully, they will add some more inventions and recipes as time goes on.
The Statesman's Task Force has to be one of the most entertaining that I've done. (As a word of advise, do not attempt this TF without a taunting tank. Ours quit on the 2nd mission. We made it all the way to the end and wiped about 430 times.)

Well hello there Electra! I think I read somewhere that they will be adding costume pieces in the future. Really the sky is the limit on the inventions as to what they can add. I am personally excited to try it. I have thought about going over to test. I might have to soon.
