| Error in installing UT 2004 (Editors Choice) |

I just got a brand-new version of UT 2004, and tried installing it on my laptop (system requirements are all exceeded). The bar went to 100%, when this error message appeared.
Feature Transfer Error
Feature: English
Component: English_Sounds_Speech_System_Help
File: D:\Disks\data6.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
I click OK (the only option in the error window), and the installation cancels after a few moments. The disc is unscratched and completely fine. I washed it and tried it again, with the same results. I also closed all background processes for my desktop except for Explorer and the program itself. I then tried to use my friend's CD, also brand new, with its different CD key, to install it, and the exact same thing happened.
Is there anything anyone can tell me about this that would solve my problem?

Well . . . seems to me like getting a new CD Drive worked fine for you.
